It always amuses me that people would rather score 'cool points' by slagging off WoW than seriously look at the OPs suggestions. There are a few things in WoW that EVE could learn from. That's not saying it will degenerate into a simplistic affair, it's just stating that EVE could take some of the features and incorporate them.
Despite what some people say, WoW is quite a fun game. It's completely different from EVE, and shouldn't even really be considered as a rival. WoW's strength is that it is simple, and can be easily played for short bursts. EVE's strength is that it truly is a sandbox game, with so much diversity. Yes, you get asshats in WoW, but there appears to be plenty in EVE too. I'm sure if you analysed the asshat percentage, it would be the almost the same.
Just be grateful that EVE can maintain itself through a relatively small but loyal fanbase. WoW has more players, and always will have, because it's simpler and friendlier. The reason we like EVE is the reason many people will never pick it up.
If someone wishes to suggest assimilating a few ideas from WoW, listen to them, don't just flame and whine about WoW. It says more about your own immature personality than it does about WoW. You possess the capacity for reason, now use it.

I can just imagine local exceeding Jita in the big mission hubs. All the sensor boosting opportunists and PvP-wannabes (Can-flip whooohooo, 0.4 baaaaaad!) outside stations hoping for a mention on a killmail.

Please for the love of Heth!!!! Stop with all this, eve could be better if ccp adds some things from WoW Bull****. Totally different games.
But to add something to this:
1. Actually not a bad idea, only good one out of the five
2. Not needed, ccp's idea was that no where in space is safe, even highsec. To be honest we already have a flagging system, its called a War Dec!
3. I agree on the scaling the level of npc's on the amount of players in the fleet, could be fun especially helping players grind lvl1 missions. Although saying that your fleet can just get someone to join who have higher lvl agents available.
4. This will come in time, as per dev blog sleepers have the fancy new AI and i must say it hurts like hell. Very hard to solo. Cant wait till its rolled out to all the npc's in game
5. No damn way, except that mindclash game when ambulation comes around. Do duels in corporations or in empty low/null sec.

how bout people do the starter missions, check the forums and then petition after asking local and corp? chances are noobs are spamming for help when the game is working as intended. so smack the noobs abit.
group missions? Go do some L5s!
consensual pvp? each player can drop a can with 1 round of ammo the other can pick up!
you want to be shot at while trying to do a mission? Join FW and do the missions! nothing like having 10 hostile militia members chasing you around or camping your mission for enhanced gameplay!
oh and ....go back to wow since you basically did nothing but ask questions ccp provided answers to long ago..

The only point I really agree on is 1, and even there what I'd rather see is an implementation of WoW's 1-click block and report for spamming feature.

I was reading the OP and I was agreeing and I found it a good idea.
untill I read this:

it wasn't a troll.
it had some usefull stuff in it , some fair points. Something that really didn't have anything to do with game mechanics ... More with GM's .. but a fairpoint non the less.

I would like to see T2 Catapults on my Hurricane, mine for shamrocks in a pig shaped Hulk and shoot flaming elves from my missle bay while casting a spell of protection to keep me from the harm of a pastel colored universe where I might get wtfpwned by Gandalf in Rancer.
Even better- you could have a ten sided dice icon in your HUD, so when you get ready to do consentual battle, you push the icon for a roll and a lisping voice cracking with puberty says: "All you goblins are belong to us."
See how those things don't mix?
We don't want to change WoW, so don't try to change Eve.

4) No, we do not need missions that scale to fleet size. People can scale their fleet size to suit the mission, and then when level 4s are a walk in the park they can head out to lowsec to run level 5 missions with their friends.
2) We already have the ability to run missions while PvP flagged - just look around for the q20 level 4 agents, or any level 5 agent.

Not a bad post overall, some decent ideas and I only really disagree with you on the dueling...
because in games like Wow..everyione gets peppered by dumb****zles spamming everyone with duel requests which then require the feature of 'auto-decline duel requests'. Dueling is a little used feature and is pointless in a PvP game anyway..ya want consensual duels, fly off to a remote corner of a lowsec system and have at it.
Empire bound corps dont really need dueling either because player corp members can shoot each other at will any time. I dont really see any benefit to this and its just going to create more local chat smack talk. The only positive here is that the sheer annoyance of duel requests will drive some out of the core Empire space to quieter systems.
Also you can accomplish a 'consensual' duel with existing game mechanics..each person just shoves a jet can out, and they open up each other's can and thus become red and flashy to each other (its the tried and true method of starting area greifers in Eve for years...all those yellow cans floating around the noob stations titled "free gear, free ammo, whatever")
Course a persons entire corp can get involved that way, but well since when is Eve about 1vs1 combat anyway lol..its 6 on 1 or not at all.

1. Good idea. The faster and easier we can make it for the dev's to resolve petitions, the better.
2. Since this covers alot of empire players and is the topic of many threads I propose the following:
Lvl 1-2 missions remain as they are. (New peeps)
Lvl 3- the option to accept said mission with an aggression timer running. If you accept this stipulation before the mission you will be blinky red to everyone, but the payout with be x amount more, say 10 times.
Lvl 4 missions- same as above but you don't get the option.
3. Agree for the most part. When accepting mission, you and whomever else is running it should be uploaded to the agent prior to acceptance. More peeps, more loot, stronger enemies.
4. see 3.
5. No. You consent to pvp when you log in.

i would love to see the option of CONCORD sanctioned - 'fight for slips' fights in hi-sec.
for those who 'arent down with the kids' - you fight for the ship inclusive of fittings.
fighters are jammed by the resident uber skilled concord falcon pilot, auto docked and loser (who hits structure first) - his ship is moved to the docking station where the fight agent has organised the scrap.
a bit wow like maybe, but could be fun. and i think, maybe inline with the mentality/feel of eve?

Some OK ideas, none of which will fit EvE.
We might as well get back "damaged" ships when we get blown up, heck, let's end up as a "ghost" where we can find our remains and revive without losing anything. Um...no. EvE is a sandbox, and a sandbox means that players find their own ways to accomplish things in the game.
