1)Don't care. 2)Decline button. Next. 3)Good idea, but it might overly impact the economy in the hands of the 'boxers. 4)See 3 above, only moreso. W-space is close enough, IMO. 5)Hahahaha. GL with that.

Edited by: ChaosnFun on 02/04/2009 23:02:48 Make eve more like wow...Eyes burning, head hurts table almost broken. When i heard of this i just thought, wow how many posts would the flames least untill it gets closed. Rewards are only from looting... you have never used loyality points or did missions in 0.0.
Try solo a deadly wormhole or a 10/10 plex in ur highskill ebay char and fail epic. Eve pvp more like wow... a game that forces evry player in any systhem anywhere make more like the - "No risk no loss, risk! also no loss , what ever i never loose anything."
Eve duels? Test server. Test ur crappy ship without risk if you dont trust ur enemy. You are in duel mode and ur enemy is, the others arent, suicide gank ftw.
Last but not least. I hope someone will hit you.

Maybe we are all horribly disfigured from the chest down and they don't want us to see the rest.
The mission and complex ideas i like, eve's needs a major overhaul, their's are still in 80's.
What, consensual duels in eve?! PVP in eve is about camping stargates/stations and can flipping who the hell would want an honorable duel system or honor points you get from winning that can be used to buy special gear? That's nonsense.

One of the worse aspects of WoW is your absolute dependecy on others players if you want to see content. In theory it looks fine and somewhat core to a MMO but in reality it boils down to struggling to find players that aren't complete ******s or are willing to do the less desirable roles in a party. Sure this is less of an issue when you in a good corp/guild with decent players but then you have the issues of people not being able to stay to the end of the mission or simply not being interested in doing it in the first place.
You've not even gotten onto a system of loot distribution that doesn't result in flared tempers and long blocked lists.

Yes, trying to add in arena combat in a way that has as little effect as possible on anything else is indeed the first step in changing the entire game. -

the one thing that WoW has the EVE sorely lacks, the ability to send someone a /tell. the convo system seems lacking compaired to a simple whisper or tell found in other MMOs. and since EVE has what seems like an endless block list asshats could still be ignored.

Grand idea! We need a tell system that removes the mail system with a tell so that when you want to say something to someone you just send them a message like a mail.

Edited by: McDaddy Pimp on 03/04/2009 04:54:51 Poor OP, getting flamed. Some of his ideas are actually good...
1. Good idea!
2. Move all lvl4s to low sec, thats better. Yeah missioning is an overpowered low risk, high reward activity. Those CNRs need to explode.
3. Its called wormholes and level 5s. Also, we could get some fun stuff in the next Epic Arcs and the new NPC AI. Rat Bounty decreased and agent rewards should be removed entirely IMO, and increased loyalty points, for EVE to have a true player-base economy.
4. Same as 3.
5. Its called Sisi. If you dont lose/gain anything in pvp, and just want to test/watch explosions, go to sisi, and everything is 100isk there! Dont ruin my game pls.

Quite sure your mistake, what you're hearing is prepubescent boys that obviously have girlish voices on voice chat. Girls in WoW is a myth (just as girls in any game.) Don't let anyone tell you different.

Originally by: Genya Arikaido 1. Ticket System.
It's a pretty interesting idea and it might let CCP get away with having several GMs who are trained in customer service to handle the "live" petitions and a bunch who either aren't trained or whom have cruddy interpersonal skills to handle the non-"live" petitions thereby possibly saving CCP time and money.
Originally by: Genya Arikaido 2. Missions/Quests
The problem with such an idea, however, is that EVE is not designed from the ground up to encompass what would be needed to let others know you're fair game which would make it fairly hard for others to take advantage of it.
Originally by: Genya Arikaido 3. Rewards & Fleets
This might be interesting, but for missions like that I'd prefer to see rewards that make them worthwhile such as CCP bringing back ship rewards past the new player missions.
Frankly, I'd rather see them putting in things like 1 run BPCs, non-faction ships (I got 5 bantams out of a mission once upon a time...), and perhaps even some mid-range gear.
Originally by: Genya Arikaido 4. Complexes/Dungeons
My question is, how big of a fleet? Twenty? Fifty? Two hundred?
Or the more traditional WoW numerical response, "OVER 9000!!!!???"
Originally by: Genya Arikaido 5. PvP
I don't see this idea as going over too well.
If it were put up in an arena setting where you plunked money down to enter (and (obviously) had to pay your own repair bills with drones considered ammo), people could bet on the outcome, and perhaps if it was done in a relatively unique fashion (Thunderdome! Two men enter, one ship leaves) it would be workable, but I wouldn't see this as being very practical or likely whatsoever for "world PvP."
Frankly, with what CCP's done with wormholes that might actually be a good way to introduce static arenas into the game where different areas could be set up for differnt fight styles. Fire pit matches where the participants take constant damage, speed matches where velocity is increased by 300%, and so on.
Still pretty unlikely to happen though. ____________________

PVP Simulation or "Mock" PVP that does not result in a ship being destroyed will probably dent the market in terms of less ships being sold, thus less ships being lost.
On the plus side - a lot of crap would end up being cheaper.
Rewards could use a re-jigger as well, the fact that the bulk of mission rewards don't even come from the guy hiring you doesn't make a lot of sense, really.
I'd like to see different mission rewards as well - such as exclusive modules or ships. Something to make it worth while, and not just a grind for minerals/isk.
But in the end - OP suggests changes to EVE. We all know how people respond to change...
With pitchforks and fire.

We call them "commanders", "overseers" and "officers". And I'm bored of WoW players. They come here and try to change EVE into "WoW with spaceships". Ask Blizzard for that, not CCP. After each patch EVE become easier game. New people come and whine, then CCP prepares another patch to make EVE even easier. Come on. Stop it.

I quite like the idea of a flag marking you as a valid target whilst doing certain missions. This would help distribute certain missions around, and you wouldn't need to put some missions quite so far into lowsec. Not sure quite how practical this would be though.
A seriously large plex for large fleets would be nice, but I feel this would become just an open farm permanently populated by people. The reason it works in WoW is because it is instanced, and it stops other people from looting your own party's one. If they didn't do this, the dungeons would be very barren. You could limit access so that only those in a group of 40 or more can gain access, but again I don't know how practical this would be.
