The one thing that WoW has that EVE does not? FUN!
While EVE may be many times more mature as WoW, it lacks the fun factor. In WoW, if you're having fun, you're enjoying the game. In EVE, if you're having fun, you are doing something wrong. This is what needs to be changed above all else.

It's a ******ed idea unless you somehow make someone who has picked this option immune to everyone else in the game. Which is an equally ******ed idea.
If they're foolish enough to come with their faction BS of doom then they should get suicide ganked. You're not going to be able to beat him anyways.

I have a lot more fun for more time in WoW, but it wears off really quick. In Eve it's like.. boring boring boring boring.. ADRENALINE PUMPING AWESOME FUN!!!11oneoneeleven boring boring
But that fun lasts a lot longer.

I have just read the first page of this interesting thread. I am totally against seing your character because games like WoW, that allows you to see your character transforms the game into a fare-RL thingie where people pretend they are interacting with others through unreal characters.
Walk In Stations is the only think I am not looking forward seeing in Eve.
What? You want to wave your corpmate in a station or when passing by with your ship? This would be so ridiculous and SO WOW. I hate that!

i really dont have pvp experience in either game.
but i think the overall concept of pvp is far better in EVE. in WoW a bad player can get to some really nice pvp gear and then own lesser geared players who are more skilled by virtue of stats.
in EVE simply having a tech 2 ship doesnt mean you will beat that seasoned player who knows their stuff. if you suck you still suck in EVE and odds are that better player will vape your fancy T2 ship even in a T1 ship.

i have had more fun in eve and found more self- accomplishment than i ever did in WoW, and I was in a guild that was running black temple for fun. and yes that says alot cause 97% of you wow kiddies never even got remotely close to that level of gameplay in wow.

A tractor trailor isn't a mini-cooper either but that doesn't mean that there might be some feature on it that the mini-cooper might find useful. For that matter look at GPS systems which, if I'm not mistaken, were primarily used in military vehicles until they became practical, and also very popular, for the civillian market. An Abrams main battle tank and a humvee might not be a Honda Accord but the Honda could sure benefit from their GPS system.

You have a limited grasp of the concept of moderation, don't you? You seem to think that "more like" implies 50% to 100% more without consideration of the fact that it might only be 2%.
Here's an example. EVE could benefit from being more like Warcraft by letting us have a "report spam" menu option, or something similar, in local chat and the major help and trade channels in order to report isk sellers so that we don't have to go through the annoying process of filing an isk trader petition.

Dueling is only good if it's nonconsensual or done with interceptors.

I lied and there is one thing that Eve could do with from WoW. The ability to log off a character and return to the character selection screen rather than simply go back to the login page.

What WoW has that EVE needs? Hum... The only thing I can think of is atmosphere. In WoW every area has a certain atmosphere to it. Swamps are swampy, caves are cavey, haunted forests are haunted... Of course, space cannot have much more atmosphere than it has now, but improving the way planets look would really add to the immersion. If Gallente and Caldari Prime are such important planets, they should be green and blue, not frikking grey with a lot of lights.
Other than that, I cannot think of anything. No epic mount in WoW can go 500 m/s, or travel through space for that matter. And don't even mention epic gear; we've got T2.
Really, WoW can be a fun game (if you're not grinding, and even grinding isn't always that bad, for example with friends), but I'd really not like EVE to become 'WoW in space'. Currently, one can play both games simultaneously (of course it'd cost a lot of money), and have two completely different game experiences. It must stay that way. Leave it to Star Wars: The Old Republic to become 'WoW In Space', and let EVE be the ice cold, frikking hard game it always was and will always be.

Bigger fleet/group missions will never happen, just look at the FW crowd or even just group up and warp to a mission and watch all the pretty stuff load.
Eve is close to falling over a lot of the time, you had a fleet the same size as a raid group and dropped into all that crap they insist on putting in, kiss goodbye to your ship.
