Its hard to say which is more win, the Rifter curb-stomping the Arazu or the Arazu pilot's sorry attempt to save face.

Curious, why did he only take 7,000 damage? Even with his fit, against your rails, he should've taken 10,000-11,000 to kill...

huh? hp is not ehp, it doesn't take into account resists. according to EFT, a max-skilled rapier with a single LSE will have 7300 hp total. it's ehp, however, will be 12.4k due to resists.

Impressive kill!
Reminds me of when I tackled a Harpy in 0.0 space thinking 'easy kill' with my Arazu and talking my smack on alliance vent.
He started to run to the gate so I ran after him thinking he would jump on contact. He MWD'd to the gate, bounced off, and to my surprise, turned and tackled me instead of jumping. My Arazu didn't last very long with his blasters all over me. Alliance had a good laugh.

The arazu didn't MWD away because the rifter had him scrambled. The arazu's scrambler made it so the rifter couldn't warp but he could still use his AB so he had speed tank on the arazu as well. Add in the nuet and fact that medium rails had no chance of hitting the rifter at that range he was screwed as soon as he closed range on him.
Might have survived had it been scout drones instead of mediums, also if he had a missle/rocket launcher for close range but really the arazu pilot I think was hoping for the rifter to pop from the first hit at 55km.

Half the people in this thread are incredibly dense.
A rifter can scram from the 40km distance the fight started out at ofc. And a MWD arazu is not faster than a plated, ab rifter either. --------

Apparently you belong to the dense 50% mate. An Arazu with recon 5 has a 48km warp disrupt range. With faction mods it stretches to 56km. The Arazu also flies at over 1500m/s with mwd, whereas the Rifter goes at just over a 1000m/s with an AB. A named AB gives you around 150% increase on base speed. The Rifter speed will of course vary depending on skills, but as I understood it the Rifter pilot is relatively new.

He's still wrong and you guys need to l2r. Jodie Amille mocks Mistress Jeanette for pointing out that the rifter were scrambling the Arazu, but they were 40km apart. The problem is that the rifter didn't attack the Arazu. It was the other way around. The Arazu decloaked at disrupting range at +40km. The Rifter tried to gtfo but couldn't, THEN turned around to fight as it were it's only option left. The Arazu pilot was expecting an easy kill and didn't bother keeping his range.
The hunter became the hunted after a while, but then it were too late for the Arazu to escape as the Rifter had an AB+scram. Nothing wrong with that assessment. Disputing this by trying to call it sarcasm only proves you don't have sufficient grasp of EVE mechanics.

I don't agree with that. I would much rather face an Arazu/Lach than say a Curse, Vaga or a Rapier. Both the Curse and the Rapier will slow you down and kill you, while the Vaga will just shred you in seconds. The Arazu should nevertheless be able to easily win over a Rifter.

dont u love these dum pilots that dont know how too fly a ship and fit it propery... T2 ammo shame on u, only long range ammo, shame on u. No scram, shame on u. not well fitted low slots, shame on u. No faction webber shame on u.
Damn this is a crappy fit, 4/10
to the arazu pilot, think what your target group is before messing around in eft. Example dampers too kill small ships? better fit a scram + faction (ts 15km ) web (or 2 even better) and did u ever heard of t2 ammo's tracking penalty? |
