H) 2x 250mm Rail with AM (market variety - trying to get carbide or compressed) H) 1x 250mm Barbide Rail with AM (trying to get compressed) M) 1x 10MN MWD M) 2x Named Medium Cap Boosters (150's or 100's or 75's) M) 1x Shield Hardener (EM seems to work best against Serpentis) L) 1x Med Armor Rep II L) 2x RCU I's (don't yet have skills to use RCU II's) L) 1x Energized Adaptive Nano Membrane I
Works well enough against L3 Agent Kill Missions even the ones what spam heavy missiles. The only problem is having enough Cap Booster Charges in cargo hold - some battles can consume 10 or more. I would want to have 4x 250mm Rails but the setup above uses 1133 grid. I realize this isn't the best setup for PvP but then I'm not doing any PvP with it.
Anyone got any suggestions ? |

my setup is:
hi: 4x 250mm, 1x heavy launcher, 1x standard launcher med: 1x 10mn MWD, 1x med shied booster, 2x cap rechargers low: 2x hybrid dammage mods, 2x power relays
On hybrids i use iridium ammos ( > 60km fire range ), on launcher i have kinetic heavy missiles, on standard launcher i have defenders ( never used ;-) ). I warp on 60km far and keep distance, shot all without being hitted one time ( nobody catch u on this distance ). If u get an > 100k pirate leave it for last, and if u ca'nt destroy it only with turrets & iridium, swith on thorium ammos & go 40km far and use also missiles.
Personally i kill also 100k pirates only with iridium ammos & 60km far, but this depends on your skills, if u ca'nt simply use also launcher.

you might be better off going for an assault launcher over a std launbcher on a cruiser. better rof, holds waaaay more missiles.

U realy think i do'nt thinked on that?  To fit a second heavy launcher i need more powercore and i can chose to take of a dammage mod ( bad idea) or put 2 x power realys II, but actually i prefer not spend money to fit a second launcher if i never use the one i already have. ;-)

If fighting serpentis use a thermal + kinetic hardner, serps dont do any EM dmg at all. Use AM in the rails, with half decent skillz u can hit at 40km +. Usual dmg ~100. Most cruiser last 4-5 volleys max, frigs need to be dealt with early cos if they get close the 250's wont hit. Shield is never down lower than 70%. Only problem is u need a good agent that doesnt send u more than 1 system away.
And if your looking for a compressed coil contact my bro (Phearr in game) cos i got one but dont have access to internet cept at work. He will sort u out with it, just tell him i sent you. 3.5mil a fair price

Gets a damage mod of around 4.5 - 5 and if using antimatter you get 45km orso(cruiser5, sharpshooter4). Kills things very quickly and if they get to around 10km you should still be able to get good hits and kill them, thanks to better tracking. I don't bother with missiles for agent missions, totally unnecessary and expensive.

Isn't the Tracking Computer a medium slot?? i guess you mean tracking enhancer?? Regards

Oh my good, u guys are realy too precise, i just typed wrong! I have 10 powercore left ( and yes, i have engineering 5 ), so i cant mount neither an heavy launcher, neither an assault launcher.
The only launcher i could put was the standard one. As i told before i can put better launcher fitting tech2 power relays, but i did'nt did that because i never used any missile, so i do'nt care this difference.

Well I must say I am quite surprised I wasn't flamed at all over my lame MOA setup since I was sure having only 3 guns like a Celestis was lame - or is it just that the MOA is just so lame being a Tier 3 Cruiser and all versus the Celestis which is a Tier 2 Cruiser... anyway... thanks for the feedback. |

Celestis can't take nearly the beating a Moa with a good sized booster and a couple hardeners can take. 
And actually, my preferred setup was 3x 250mm RG, 2x Heavy Launcher, 1x smartbomb-- Used the smartbomb for missile defense, and kept the missile launchers loaded with heavies.

Celestis can't take nearly the beating a Moa with a good sized booster and a couple hardeners can take. 
And actually, my preferred setup was 3x 250mm RG, 2x Heavy Launcher, 1x smartbomb-- Used the smartbomb for missile defense, and kept the missile launchers loaded with heavies.

For L3 agent missions you really don't need hardners, repairers at all. Since you won't ever get hit.
4x 250mm rails 1x heavy launcher 1x std launcher

1x mag field stabilizer 1x reactor control units 2x power diagnostic system
With that you can easily hit at 60km even with lead ammo and there aren't any mission npcs who can even hit you at that range. As your gunnery skills improve you can just slowly drop down the ammo list using ever heavier ammo and still staying 50-60km from the enemy. Need to keep the mwd since enough of the L3 mission rats carry them.
With lead and compressed coil 250s you can get wrecking hits into the 200s, most fights aren't very long even against 100k pirates.
As others have said the launchers are kind of an after thought you don't really need them. Not quite enough grid to get 2 heavy launchers in there or to drop the rcu for another pds.
Actually L3 missions are pretty dull in a Moa none of them are challenging at all once you have a few skills under your belt. The NPCs you fight are nearly all set up for close range fighting and are totally ineffective at the long ranges the Moa can hit from.
