Edited by: James Lyrus on 05/05/2009 20:05:43 Don't fly faction fits on your first PvP ships.
Seriously, if you can't afford to replace 10 of whatever it is, you probably should be flying it.
Now, having said that, there's nothing stopping you taking an expensive faction ship out - it's just a good way to end up very sad.
Also - don't bother going for cap stability - PvP fights are usually over before it matters, and if they aren't, you should have been using an injector anyway. So lose the capacitor controls for trimarks. Also, plate and medium armour repper doesn't make a good combo IMO. I'd therefore suggest just going straight 'buffer' tank - it works suprisingly well on a PvP ship, when you're bringing a lot of DPS to the table.
If it's a Harbinger you're set on, I'd suggest something like: [Harbinger, Pulse] Heat Sink II Heat Sink II Energized Adaptive Nano Membrane II Adaptive Nano Plating II Damage Control II 1600mm Reinforced Rolled Tungsten Plates I
10MN MicroWarpdrive II Medium Electrochemical Capacitor Booster I, Cap Booster 800 Process-Interruptive Warp Disruptor Fleeting Propulsion Inhibitor I
Focused Medium Pulse Laser II, Multifrequency M Focused Medium Pulse Laser II, Multifrequency M Focused Medium Pulse Laser II, Multifrequency M Focused Medium Pulse Laser II, Multifrequency M Focused Medium Pulse Laser II, Multifrequency M Focused Medium Pulse Laser II, Multifrequency M Focused Medium Pulse Laser II, Multifrequency M Salvager II /OFFLINE
Trimark Armor Pump I Trimark Armor Pump I Trimark Armor Pump I
Hammerhead II x5
T2 for fittings reasons - it's the toughest stuff to fit - but if you're still set on fitting faction pimp, then you can swap to dual energized adaptive nano membranes.

You've got the right idea. Replace with T2 and best named though.

Way too much money invested in a t1 bc, especially for your first pvp bc. Other than that, suggestions:
- MWD instead of AB - Less tank, more dps (personal preference, but 239 turret dps is painfully low. Harb should get like 400++ (600 with drones)) Maybe swap out a EANM/repper for 2 heatsinks. - T2 guns instead of faction - scorch crystals are too good to pass up - Your cap will be coming primarily from your booster, not passive recharge, so save yourself 50m on those rigs. If you have leftover PG, slap a energy locus rig or two on there - ECM in mid.....meh, I guess you could make the argument if you were to solo alot but I'd say a webber or a sensor booster would be more useful. Or an ECCM

Thank you for the input. I'm at work so I didn't get a chance to check the price of faction items.

Edited by: TraininVain on 05/05/2009 21:21:17 Until you know better, the rule of thumb is don't fit faction.
By that I mean until you can say exactly why a faction mod is worth the extra ISK.
Your first BC will explode into a pretty cloud of rapidly expanding vapour sooner or later so try not to make it too expensive a cloud :D |

Wardec incoming!
Seriously, fly a T2 fit Punisher instead. I guarantee that you'll be more successful. EVE is not about linear little ship to big ship progression. |

Armour rigs are insanely expensive. Dare to be different.
[HARBINGER - LOLSHIELDS]
Highs: 7 x Heavy Pulse Laser II 1 x Small Neut II
Meds: 1 x 10mn MWD II 1 x Disruptor II 1 x LSE II 1 x Invul II
Lows: 3 x Heat Sink II 1 x Tracking Enhancer II 1 x Co-Proc II
Rigs: 2 x Anti-Em Screen Reinforcer I 1 x Anti-Thermal Screen Reinforcer I
Drones: 5 x Vespa II or Valkyrie II (non standard damage type, better speed/tracking than Hammers)
I get almost 600dps with scorch (before overloading) and about 50k EHP. If you're going to be flying in a gang, you could do a hell of a lot worse. Putting the 'irate' into 'Pirate' |

I am assuming after 2 months you dont have T2 medium guns. Heres a fairly easy to fit, very cheap setup for gangs:
Highs: 7 x meta 2/3 heavy pulse w/ ANMF 1 x small neut
Meds: 1 x 10MN mwd I 1 x Disruptor 1 x web 1 x med cap booster
Lows: 3 x Heat Sink II 1 x dcu II 1 x 800mm plate
Guns are generally what will cost you most so i wouldnt spend more than 1 mill or so per gun. Your gang will appreciate your tackle and dps, and youve got some buffer as well. And when you lose it (you will) you might be out 20mill or so with insurance. Oh and its pretty much always worth it to shell out on Amarr navy MF.

Surely this is a joke post?
the 'feel comfortable during war time' + faction fit combo kinda gave it away.
not to mention craptastic dps from a harbinger
If this is not a joke post, please feel free to mosey along to Hagilur to test your fit (look for lollerwaffle in local)

What/who will you be fighting and if you are part of a gang what are your buddies flying and how are they setup.
