I'm pretty sure they he/they don't use implants or rigs on their clones/ships, from what Ive gathered from other threads and other sources. It's so kickass!
Also a thing I would like to see is your commentary about your fit and how it performed in the situation.

Just from listening to the commentary you can get a pretty good idea that Kil2 isn't the ego/****y kind.
Great idea and well executed.

The analysis are spot on and your attitude about allways wanting to improve your own game makes this worth listening to. Keep up the excellent work

To clarify, are you going to begin doing commentary on other's vids? Although it would be impossible to know exactly what they were thinking, it would be interesting to hear exactly what each side was doing, and point out things that each side may have missed/did well.
If you wanted to get really pro with it, maybe try to get the FC's of fleet battles to add their impressions and what they were thinking/doing in certain battles. Obviously once the battle starts the comment would be "i'm calling primaries", but an overlay describing how the battle began, and the strategy they were each going for.
Big market for that kinda thing i think, and great work so far :) ------------------------------------------

Adding commentaries is a wonderful idea thanks Kil2
I think it's very useful for people who are not good at PVP like me so that we can have a glance of the strategies inherent to PVP.
Keep the good work, I'd like to see a commentary for USRA Unleashed

Edited by: Kil2 on 07/05/2009 20:24:05 the possibilities in this arena are very open-ended. i got the inspiration to do this mostly from RTS commentary(starcraft/coh etc), and in those environments there is often join-t commentary, and often commentary on games that are not played by the commentator. however it doesnt transfer perfectly to eve. as much as i would love to do join-t commentary or critical commentary on others' videos of eve pvp, videos arent the best option for it because there arent lulls to allow room for the inevitable discussions between commentators that would develop, and i dont have all the information that the pilot does. so for now i will stick with doing my own videos and see if theres opportunity to expand to something else somewhere down the line.
i plan to do seven and also ursa unleashed before the end of this weekend. again, im really happy to hear some less experienced pvpers are enjoying this. Ill try to include some discussion on implants/roaming and its costs/fitting in coming commentary.
tbh it almost makes me think i should just do a podcast type of thing, but the video is great for supplementing any strategic discussion with actual case evidence and visuals.
look for the new ones in the coming days o/

In the Armageddon video you where talking about your ideas/methods/reasons for heating in a situation. As a 2008 pilot I am about to get ready for introducing that into my pvp. I would love to hear a podcast regarding heating, because I take it very seriously and I want an experienced opinion on it.
Thx, Rae

In a closely matched gang fight you would normally want to overheat your guns at the start so as to take out some of the incoming DPS earlier. If I'm fighting 1v1 against an opponent with an active tank I will overheat the guns a minute or two into the fight when my opponent might be getting low on cap. If you are losing you will wantto heat your stuff as much as you can before you go down without burning anything out.
For overheating your tank you should look in EFT to see what gives you the best results when overheated for your particular fit. On an active shield tank, overheating the shield booster will give you a larger tank than overheating an invuln, but the invuln when overheated will give you a more cap-efficient tank. For an HP armor tank with a single rep you can normally overheat the rep for a very long time since its the only active module you have in your low slots, so its a good idea to keep it overloaded as long as you are not at full armor and nothing is going to burn out. Make sure you have passive modules visible though since you dont want to offline a plate or eanm by mistake.
If you can't figure out when to overload scrams and webs, then you should give up. Likewise for cap injectors.

I would imagine that they use cheap implants for fitting stuff. For instance, its cheaper to get a 1% CPU implant than to get a top-named damage control or a fleeting web instead of T2.

I really wasn't certain how well this would work out until listening to your Betrayal .mp3, and that's turned me. This is definitely a worthwhile endeavor, and allows for two things: those that want a pure entertainment video can watch without the .mp3, while those that wish to hear about what goes on during the engagement have the option of the video plus .mp3 file.
I don't blame you to limiting yourself to your own works, however I think it'd be a simple matter of interviewing other film makers over a VOIP program and going through fights while watching the film. No, you're not going to be able to cover all the avenues within engagements, but the major events and principle tactics used can be easily outlined. Also, there's nothing stopping the commentators from requesting the listener to pause the video.
Thanks for your contributions to the PvP community over the past months Kil2. All the more power to you for finding a way to spread what you like about EVE to others without sacrificing what makes the game fun.

I really like this commentary, you say exactly what I'm thinking, I noticed you did that on the alliance tournament too. Does Club Bear have a public chat channel?
I'm also wondering what the value of Music on Pvp Videos is. I personally would rather have the commentary on videos as default.
