How come when you say lasers are better then blasters, blaster fans will call you an idiot, threaten you with high dps, and generally get defensive quick,fast,and in a hurry.
Yet, these are the same people who whine the next moment about how blasters definitely need a buff to compete with other weapon systems.
What's the deal? Are they good or bad? Someone decide.
(btw why do people get so defensive about their ship's? I told a guy he should stop flying tempest cause if he wanted to throw isk away he could just give it to me, and he's gets all serious then says "...don't talk about my ship, this thing is better then anything you've ever done.")

I use both lasers and blasters on my Tempest; both weapon systems need some love, 'cos it don't work so well like that.

It's because people are people, and don't appreciate being insulted, even by implication.
Not to mention you yourself not considering the implications of what you say, thinking you're "kidding around" or "being funny" when to another person who doesn't think the way you do you're just being a asshat.
In this specific case, when you told that other player that "if he wanted to throw away ISK he might as well give it to you", I'm sure you thought you were joking.
To him, however, you implied that he was a idiot for spending the time (MONTHS, remember) to train up all the skills needed to fly that Tempest well. Some peeps don't take that kinda thing as a joke - and from the sound of it, he's one of them.
My stepson does the same kinda thing - and wonders why he's not better liked than he is.
