Heck, he sold his character (ISK) for the equivalent of roughly $600 in GTCs, if my math is correct. That's barely any money. I wouldn't risk getting banned and ruin my reputation (if I had any, like Garmon) for such a low amount, especially if I still had a known char (assuming he intends to keep el'tar). And did I just get trolled?

Tbh I don't know him, but he certainly did few things; like showing younger players that they can do fine in cheaper ships that doesn't take huge amounts of skillpoints to get in. As long as they get the skills to fly it (specialize), and fit it correct (for the purpose). Like him or not, he set some standards for younger players. MMO veteran (10year+, ex-GM in another game, yada yada, too tired to repeat myself).. EVE is the most casual friendly MMO ever. * Very few corps/alliances complain if you leave a fleet for whatever issue. If they do they suck anyway. * There's stations everywhere, and where there's no stations there's cloaks. * You don't "need" faction standings or anything, and if you're low on isk you can fly cheap ships, and/or have low sp, with great success. I.e. no "must have endgame". There's just no reason whatsoever to neglect RL because of EVE. In fact, that's one of the primary reasons as to why EVE is just so much better than most other MMO's.. and a major reason for me to end several of my accounts in other games. Just sayin'.

I was hoping to get some good fights out of this ship first, oh well, tbh since I'm leaving the game anyway this loss kinda feel weird, it's a mixture of frustration and it feels like being liberated or something idk If I ever come back to eve I'm sure I'm going to regret all of this though

The "about a week's worth" thing was a joke, but you could buy them and give them to your corpies hehe. I usually do stuff like that. Last batch I purchased had 30 ruptures and and 50 thrashers (I love thrashers!). And before the increase in T2 ship prices, I bought 40 Vagabonds, 36 of which are still sitting in my trade alt's hangar. If I was leaving EVE and wanted to spend all of my ISK (something I'd never do), I would probably buy a bunch of ships for my friends (like the previously mentioned 320 Taranis), give each one of them personally and request that in return: write something about what you killed with it, how you lost it, etc.
