Hey I was just wondering, the Drone Nav Computer gives an extra 25N of thrust, so my question is, is it worth getting(how much % extra speed does it give)? I have an extra mid on my Myrmidon and cant find anything else to put in it(I'm cap stable).

The fifth slot on the Myrm can be used for any number of things besides a Drone Nav Computer.
ECCM or Sensor Boosters are most common.
It does help with getting fast ships, but generally Warrior drones can already nail those pretty good. |

Its 25N of thrust, so depends on the mass of the drone. Lights can reach pretty quick speeds with it, and heavies can reach something less sucky. |

My ogre 1s do 830 normally, and with 5 of the nav computers installed, they do 1660.
So, for Ogres, each is a 20% speed increase. |

Are you doing math to come to that number? When I add any drone module, their stats dont change when Info is selected, nor my skills for that matter. |

It is really 25% to MWD speed for all drone sizes per module. Stacking penalty applies.

An omnidirectional tracking CPU would make more sense for a drone boat. The Drone Navigation Computer just isn't that good. |

i think warriors go 7km/s with 1, and 10km/s with 2 nav comps

I use a drone nav comp and an omni-directional tracking link combined to make hobgobs tear through cepters when Im flying anti-support. Works quite well. 5.3km/s is usually enough, but for some rigged naughties you may need 2, or a set of warriors.

Instead of a drone nav computer that is really not worth fitting why not fit a tracking disruptor instead, the blamer TD (best named) uses almost the same cpu and hardly any cap. |

Honestly as a drone specialist... I have only ever found one good use on them. A pure Domi drone boat, and use them lower the transit time of Ogres. This does end up begging the question why are you using Ogres when you could be using Sentries... in which 2x ominidirectionals would be better.
