Plz change it
Kambiri Zoltana wrote:Post here if you want the following back: - Button to open corp hangar directly - Button to open ships hangar directly - Button to open your station item hangar directly All the easy access buttons that are missing, the worse part is all the item windows reset when you dock again. EDIT: Now having played a bit more, and me being a pirate. I like the new missile effects and the new killmails. Also the value shown of all items in a hangar is nice. But please also fix the above. EDIT 2: Some other told you so before ... Yet they went ahead with the change.. https://forums.eveonline.com/default.aspx?g=posts&t=104539&find=unreadCCP we also like to have multiple windows open that don't reset with a session change. People find it difficult to mine, run missions, browse pos inventory. And I havent touched yet the subject where you multibox, where u preset your screen for a specific task. And then the inventory resets itself each time, making it a pain to multibox.

Please return the ship/item/corp hangar buttons. The new inventory management system is beyond tedious to work with. |

And I thought I was the only one who feels that way about the new UI It would of been enought if CCP had done these kind of changes to the main inventory, you know... the one that shows all Your stuff in the EVE universe... but nooo "LETS INVENT A HEXAGON WHEEL" The new missile effects are nice but that will not metter after CCP nerf the hell out of them with the tracking disruption BS

This inventory system is the most horrible part of the patch.
Mining operations: If you've ever held a mining op with jet-cans pulled by a Rorqual or Orca, or dumping directly into the cargo bay on an Orca, or dumping from an Orca into a Rorqual, where they were once easy, are now incredibly painful. You really need multiple windows for doing these operations and its obvious that whomever came up with this design hasn't spent hours in a belt or mining out the ABC's of an anom.
Looting wrecks: This should be super easy with two clicks (open cargo, loot all button) but it's now just madness. I don't want to open an inventory control system (and wait for it to load) while looting wrecks. All I need to see is the cargo hold of the wreck that I'm looting, not everything I have in system. This not only applies to belt ratting, but running a Noctis through a plex to get all the goodies and T2 salvage. And no, I don't want to fill my screen with stuff I don't need to see while running a salvage op.
Corp Hangars: Moving things like blueprints in/out of a corp hangar to use the corp lab are painful. There is no reason why I need to open my entire inventory, then open (shift+click) on the corp hangar, then open (another shift+click) the container with my blueprints, and then struggle with now open containers/corp hangar that will reset their size every session change because they are now hidden behind a single massive inventory control panel.
Session Resets: When I open my cargo hold, drone bay, station container, anchored container, Corp Hangar, or my friend's corp bay in his Orca, I don't want to deal with resizing it every single time I need to open it. I have different sizes for each based on what action each item provides me, whether its dumping ammo into my hold, adding/removing drones, or just trying to keep track of minerals or blueprints. I don't want to open something and watch it fill my screen.
The total lack of functionality makes it insane to use.

hmmm, would like to apply for a job at ccp now, they must have some really strong stuff to smoke up there in the high north in Iceland.
And the folk at QC/release approval seem to have some even stronger boosters to get them stoned...
after having tried it on sisi and now almost continuously since release I can-Št even understand what the goal of this "improvement" was, or what are the supposed target customers for this excellent example of bad usabillity.
Maybe it works for a new player with his noobship and 3 items in his hangar, but anyone that has to do some "serious work" in corp hangars, pos-Šes or large inventories is just screwed now... |

This is supposed to be a game about Internet spaceships... or at least thats the line CCP gave, and dropped the ball on last year ... after all the apologising they went through to reconnect with the playerbase, i find it more than a little bizarre that they now think that Eve is not actually about spaceships blowing stuff up any more, but is about spreadsheet management and a trainer for all the dodgiest spreadsheet mechanics anyone ever heard of.. but in the meantime.. what the hell happened to listening to the players, its a real WTF moment as they seem to have totally overruled/ignored all the player feedback they had from the test server.. i mean, if thats the case why even bother having a test server anyway.. CCP have clearly lost the plot.. time for a reality check.. please.. before its too late. |

Yes CCP please bring back the old way of accessing hangar items, ships, drone bay, etc. You've made it more complicated than it needs to be. Nice to be able to see where you're dragging and dropping items. I can't believe eve gamers approved these new changes. |

Heartily supported.
Also containers need to remember where they were and what size they were if they had been opened previously.
That should be really easy and quick to code too, only needs two functions:
1. Check if the container was open previously - input parameter: containers unique item id - output parameters: containers x,y coordinates, width, height and state of the container tree (opened, closed)
2. Save container UI-data when it is closed - input parameter: containers unique item id, x,y coordinates, width, height and state of the container tree (opened, closed)
Settings file could be used to save the data so the user can copy the settings to another installation.
Then when opening a new container window use the values returned by function one.
That small feature would probably fix a large portion of the issues people have with the new inventory window.

Nope, they have jobs.
Seriously, the way some of you are carrying on is astonishing. People don't get this worked up over actual real problems. If this is the worst thing to happen to you this week, God I wish I had your cushy life. I can just picture you all now, red faced and huffing in impotent rage at your computer monitor as you continue to pay to play this game you now hate so much.
Keep paying that subscription, that'll show 'em.

I don't know what spaceship game you've been playing, but eve has always been about spreadsheets. |
