Confirming I will in fact NOT be unsubbing my 18 accounts. It seems as though every time CCP changes something that people have been accustom to for years the first thing they do is threaten to rage quit the game. I mean seriously if you have issues with the inventory make suggestions, let your opinion be heard but to threaten to completely give up over something that, believe it or not, is not game breaking and will probably be tweaked, after playing with it for less than 24 hours is just ridiculous. |

I'm unsubbing all my 37 accounts. Also, my Megathron Navy Issue is exactly the wrong shade of green and it made it impossible for me to use as it clashes with my wallpaper. I expect to be fully reimbursed by CCP.
And don't get me started on the low shield/armor alert! Do you have any idea of what it does to my hamster? I'm not only unsubbing, I am making my neighbour's kids join EVE so they can unsub too!

I don't think this is necessary. The idea of the new inventory system is good in its base, but the implementation was bad. I think that they have taken into account all the suggestions players made on the test server feedback section and on the Inferno Feedback Thread, but simply didn't have time to finish the development process prior to launch. That doesn't mean the development process has not started yet, or if it didn't already that it will not start right after fixing the critical issues that every major expansion brings (in Infernos' example those are chat bugs).
It's bad that they haven't though thoroughly about details and everyday use of the inventory system, but that happens sometimes in programming. I'm sure the issues will be resolved.
At this point it is important to filter out every use case scenario that is not currently well designed and post it to the feedback thread (along with a suggestion on how it should be implemented, if possible). Be vocal in a constructive way.

Did that, and found it easier and faster than before. The quick filters are very useful imo.
POS guns do need their own subfolder to reduce the clutter in the tree.

I logged in, chat windows as usual everywhere, found the new thingie and clicked and couldn't see my ship. Looked a little closer, it hurt my eyes, felt like bubble gum just got injected between my temples. I set a new contact and logged off. Maybe it will go away. Did they bring back incursions yet? I unsubbed 4 when Mittani got drunk. Goons won, killing and taunting grieving people. Who can compete with that pony show? Incursions tempted me but They just keep pounding one nail after another in the coffin. Windows, Bigger screens make the print even smaller don't they? Good money after bad won't solve anything.

New inventory;
Pros:
-Like the new design idea. Nice overview and easy to get around once you get used to it.
-Price calc estimate is semi useful as a general pointer, which is ...fun trivia just glancing in your hangar.
Cons;
-Incredibly laggy if youre a laaaaarge scale trader/producer. Transfering/trading xxx items from one character/hangar
to the next takes ages and is laggy. Sometimes you wonder if its transfering at all or just bugged/refusing to transfer,
then suddenly kicks in and transfer. Then sometimes it wont.
The lag completely overshadows the good consept of the new design. Making something less useful thru drastical
drop in performance wont be offset by making it look better.
IF the performance drop is tied into the new "tree layout" of inventory, and you will not be able to enhance
this cause of some underlying strain by design, then I would like the option of reverting to the old inventory.
Inventory performance as it is now is completely unbearable for large scale trading. |
