Even tho you are not part of a grand 0.0 allaince, life in EVE can be pretty sweet, if you know your way around. And thats what its all aobut in EVE. And imo the alliance OP you described, waht utter fail. Allaince that runs the show like that is bound to fail. And anyone fed up wioth an 0.0 alliance can quit it, join the enemy or provide intel to the enemy. Thats always fun. The mistreat you? Backstab them! Whether that's by offering to help during fleet ops, scouting for people, dropping cynos, scouting hostile systems, following enemy fleets... there's so many things you can do - and I mean, if you can't find something you really like in your current alliance, then you should probably try your luck somewhere else, or maybe solo, or back in empire, or whatever. If all of your gaming experience consists of is ratting to buy a ship, to join a CTA, to lose it to a DD, then, with respect, you're doing it wrong. There really are no comparisons to be made between EVE and ANY OTHER PVP-centric MMO around at the moment. I guess the point of this post is to say that - if you don't put the effort in, you won't get anything back out - you make an issue of alliances having too many titans and the "leadership" the only ones playing the "real 0.0" game, but then you have to remember that they are the people who stepped up to lead, they're the ones that put their balls and the ships of possibly hundreds of people on the line, and they're the ones that got people to put the effort in to achieve their objectives and run their alliance. - MaZ (yes frools quit long ago)

Resdayn Amarr Genos Occidere	Posted - 2009.08.03 16:57:00 - [46] OP Has some points, I do agree with a few, but I believe you have grossly exaggerated some, if not all of your points My opinion on eve right now is people are not limited by the amount of ISK they have, having an epic fight for example in a 10m Brutix is not a hard thing to come by, anyway like I said I don't think ISK is the issue, but rather people's will to pvp where a lot of effort/"skill" is involved for the individual ( solo / small gang ) People can have a lot of fun and learn LOTS if they just buy a lot of cheap ships, and head out to hostile 0.0 solo, everytime they die they will learn lots and might turn out to be competent eventually EVE is like this because they are terrible, atleast 90% of eve are terrible, which is the aftermath of people's lack of will to learn and try to fight the odds But I do think EVE is still a great game for a warrior, as stated before in this thread, small gang and solo pvp still happens all the time in 0.0 ____________________________________________________________ GENOS 4 LYFE

Getting out of nullsec and into low-sec might also be an answer. If the OP is only interested in carebearing (paraphrased, "fleet ops are ghey, I wanna keep ratting /CRY") then high-sec might also be an option. Just because you don't fit into one aspect of EVE doesn't mean that EVE isn't for you. AND TYPING IN THE SAME COLOR AS LINKS IS TOTALLY COOL, BRO!
