Don't CCP know you cant play FPS's on a Console... unless you have auto aim enabled... heheheh
Maybe they have a deal going with Sony and Microsoft where any DUST 514 game is purchased they get royalties from Sony and MS...
All the console players would get ****ed off with our superior WASD/Mouse Fluid controls anyway... They would all have a ***** and moan about unfair game play... simple answer for those Consoles get a bloody PC... Graphics are way better on PC anyway....

I can't stand FPS gaming with a stick! not to mention the inherent abuse of Auto-Aim on consoles.
I dont mind people on xbox live playing it but give us a pc version too!

its NOT going to hurt ccp if they release it for the PC as well. But probably they will, i would guess a few months after the console version. but my hope is that a pc version would be released at the same time the console version goes live

Im pretty sure that there will be a pc release sooner or later because most of the EvE subscribers will buy a Dust account aswell.

they aren't doing this in SPITE of the community. it's a business decision to be sure, developing and launching a new game.
you paid for your subscription (like the rest of us) and you got to play eve. your patronage doesn't entitle you to have all of CCPs future products catered to your personal preferences. everyone would like to see it come to PC but tone down the rhetoric ffs
not sure which crazy argument is worse in these threads. the ones acting like it would be criminal for ccp to not release to PC or the ones that are going all obama-death-panel about Dust and the Sov system. that said....

Dust will feature no more interaction between the players than simple forms of communication and eve players dropping isk and resources into DUST. NO orbital bombardments.

I wonder what CCP think about Square Enix and Cryptic coming out in the last week to bash MS.
Squeenix are having issues even getting Final Fantasy approved for Xbox Live and Cryptic are ready to launch Champions on the console right now, but cant dude to MS having "baffling issues" WITH MMO's on the platform......

I hear that you can have a mouse and keyboard for PS3.. Am i wrong? and besides I might buy a PS3 once the price drops even more.. But it would be nigh to impossible to get me to buy a Xbox.

In my opinion PC is better for FPS, but that's my opinion.
One thing that is fact, is that console gamers are fickle. If Dust catches on with that demographic. Its only a matter of time before the new "Hot" game comes out, and dust is forgotten. Once the console fad wears off then what are the paying EVE subscribers left with?

Do not buy a ps3 just for dust until it gets released and we see how well it was done. Whilst the ps3 is orders of magnitude moar powerful than a 360 its fairly apparent that the level of difficulty in coding a game to harness that power is pretty high. So it might actually play better on a 360 simply due to the ease of porting from the pc development platform to the directx based 360. I'm hoping CCP has the talent to push the ps3's potential power to its limits though as I already own one and would not buy a 360 just to play dust.

That console gamers are fickle is a common misconception. The reason most console multiplayer games die off is because of planned obsolescence(EA built thier empire on this concept) to force people to buy next years sequal if they want fresh content. So basically no new maps means everyone gets tired of getting sniped from that same corner of the map or tubed in that particular hallway or spawn killed at that particular spawn or naded at that same damn spot because everyone knows the map inside and out and can camp at will. Dust content will be refreshed just like eve content on a regular basis so even if some hot new game comes along well dust just got a new content update too and will still compete well.

Need something to do while I'm not playing eve that isn't planetside... PS is both dated and (currently) dysfunctional (I cannot get it to run on Vista since the most recent patch)
Dust looks cool. If they're already developing PowerPC and Cell compatible versions why not throw in an x86 release too, right?
