If you don't think this is virtual blackmail then you need your head examined.
If you want to have a direct say in the proposed sov changes this will effect every single 0.0 alliance player to the tune of $14ish/month for a DUST MMO subscription to a ******ng CONSOLE game.

While everything involved in the decision to combine the worlds is ******ed adding to a player base is about the most standard thing ever.
Like usual someone from tri is being dumb and terrible.

Here's a hint, EVE would not exist today if CCP had not tried to expand the player base. Thats how expansion and progress WORKS. So complain all you want about the fact it could be a terrible idea for EVE (it could also be an awesome one, we won't know till we see just how it affects the EVE universe), but don't make some ****ty post about how this is all because CCP wants to make more money - don't forget this is how companies work: no profit, no expansion, no updates, no new content.

Adding to player base is fine, I have no objection why do you think there are sooooo many EVE online banner ads out there? Why do you think EVE went on Steam? Why do you think they went to SO much effort to ban macroers and introduce PLEX system? Because ALL of this puts money into CCP's pocket.

Well, as long as I can bombard lots of xbox live peeps who will be unable to shoot me back in space then I'm seeing the appeal.
that said if soverenty is to be solely dictated by the number of xbox live dweebs you can get to play kill the alien on the planet then I'm less inclined to see the appeal from a eve perspective, indeed if that was so I'd say 0.0 would be finaly and officialy dead at long last and faction warfare be the only way forward or or most backwards.
Either way not stressed given they announced waxing in stations years ago and nothing appeared so any announcment today realy have to ask what effect it will have, given it will be years down the line.
details, details and more details, beyond that its mearly marketing fapping and we all know hwow to ignore that.

In response a 0.0 EVE player can choose:
1. be armtwisted into either buying ANOTHER CCP game to have a direct say in 0.0 sov,
2. dump a ton of isk into NOT PLAYING EVE i.e. Pay mercs
3. letting go of your 0.0 space or plans to conquer it.
At best this looks like a rough deal and at worst blackmail.
