As far as "remorse" yeah, i agree, its pretty pointless in a game. I think thats outta my system, and i hope the nervousness lessens soon, every fight ive been in ive had the nervous shakes. But, its sure more fun than missions=) Sec status declining rapidly, Ava.

I also will return any useless stuff like mission items and often try to tell them wtf they did wrong (unscouted, crap fit haulers, etc). I like it, and i feel more or less the same way, even after all these years (yeah I will still replace the occasional t1 ship or give a couple of after-combat hints provided they are not jerks)... (At the same time, I know many people play EVE as if it was CS... At least for me, one single popped ship that ends up in e-comedy or e-drama is much more rewarding than a bunch of anonymous killboard points) + the stuff that is destroyed -or retrieved from the wreck- costs, sometimes dearly; those implants that melted with the pod cost too, this is not WoW, many of those destroyed assets took a lot of effort to come by by their owners Tennis, for instance, is just a game as well, but mental pressure, metagame, emotions, etc., all play important roles. Competition is tough, sometimes there are even tears. Stabbing Monica Seles is were things get out of control... pretty much like when the Thorax pilot you just ganked promises to go after you in real life.

And podkilling in a .4 drops sec status from 4.6 to 2.05, ouch. Don't feel like a jerk. I AP'd through lo sec and got podded on my first day. I was going to pick up a cheap inertia stab. I've been playing for over a year now. Made ya look.

I thought "well it can't be THAT dangerous, it is only one jump". As I was being locked and the red target appeared and adrenaline rushed I was podded back home and learned a LOT there, it was awesome. I used to have that guy on my address book for revenge but got over it and I am pirating myself ;)

His non-responsiveness was due to that person's main character being busy. They were chasing someone else around and had to wheel back when you took the bait. You lived and escaped, so take pride. Almost all low-sec solo miners are bait. Especially when they don't even try to warp to a safespot.

There was an active cyno in the system that i didnt have the guts to go check out, but perhaps whoever's alt this was, if indeed an alt, was busy with that? Need to figure out how to pick legit targets from bait...

That and the nagging fear that I'll fail so bad I'll end up on these forums in somebody's "LOL LOOK AT THIS FAIL PIRATE" thread. Recently, though, I've decided that the best fun in Eve is pirating. Nothing else gives you the freedom that pirating affords. It's also educational. I was podded in my first week by pirates, and because of that lesson I haven't been podded since. In my opinion, it's a service to new players, because otherwise I might have gone in with +4's in my head and have lost much more.

It was the closest place that had seeded skillbooks, so I went there on occasion. I was once caught in a station camp (back before I knew about instaundocks) and promptly sent back to my home station. That was with +3s. Then I do something similar AGAIN trying to run a mission in low-sec (gatecamp). I've learned a lot since then...even though I did accidentally jump in with a hauler once.

Although a couple days ago, I soloed two noobs in a Couple Omens alone in a Vexor and they like barely touched my armor. I felt a bit bad because the fact that they actually put up a more than Admirable fight to try and kill me and I popped them with such ease. Not the fact that I did it NOW, it was a valuable lesson they learned, but jsut thinking that, down the road for them, in like 3 or 4 months when they think they are so much better and die yet again and then remember back a few months ago how they got popped with such ease and are probably going to feel like crap. I don't do it for all of them, just youngins and poor, halfway cool folks. Besides, T1 frigs and Cruisers are so cheap that it doesnt hardly even register and it makes sure they get back out there.
