tbh, when you look at the map and see 20 pilots in space, thats really a great warning not to go there

ATUK podded one of our empire miners. After that, we had talks with them and their contact told us they would keep the -10 standing and kill any of us on sight.
ATUK is KOS to ADGA, StA, DSMA and CFS as well. Not that it would matter right now, but if ADGA ships would see ATUK ones in space, we would open fire, regardless whom is with them. We can not know if they are ganged with any friendly/neutrals or not. To us they are plain and simple YELLOW.
LMAO
Its a little different when you warp into a pile of blue. Notice ONE SINGLE yellow Dot and open fire
Would it not occur to you, even for one second, that the single yellow bracket may well indeed be friends with all the other blue brackets? And if thats the case. would you not think that the rest of the blue brackets may well indeed open fire on you caus you attacked a gang member and friend.....
Now sit back have a think about what you just said. and come back to me later.
If we see some blue and yellow dots on the screen when warping in, we would simply expect that the blues (our friends) fight the yellows(our KOS). So we just try to help them.
Of course we would WELCOME IT VERY MUCH, if ATUK just put their standing towards us to neutral, then we would do the same. We prefer peace, not war.

Originally by: Gyrn Fzirth I haven't read everything in this post. I can provide some input, I think, considering I was involved in some of the early incidents leading up to this.
1) Your very leaders - one of the 4 High Council of Stain Alliance, no less, indicated Catch was NOT a warzone and neutrals would NOT be engaged. This post controverts your top leadership.
lol? Catch not a warzone? there has apparently been a misinterpretation(sp?) of what one of our leaders said, read the first post in this thread, and second of all, it doesent take much to understand that Catch is a warzone...
Quote:
2) After several stain pilots killed off a few of our assault frigs (Cowboy and I) in an incident we determined was friendly fire (HED-GP) Stain pilots indicated they didn't know we were "friendly." Killing neutrals (not just n00b corp spies or known enemies) is piracy in it's most common form.
Why, if they are in a hauler most likely they are enemy alts with supplies or trying to get into our claimed land to mine or npc hunt.

3) Celestial Apocalypse and Stain had been friends for ages until several incidents of _stain_ firing on Celestial Apocalypse, not vice versa. Most suprising considering Stain has been helping Celestial Apocalypse with low-cost ships for months.
True, we intended to keep it that way until you came to our forums and started smacking around on the forum
Quote:
4) Even after things had descalated a bit, some junior Stain members have continued belligerent, sophomoric smack-talk which only exacerbates the issues.
Its called replying, and pot, kettle black anyone?
Quote:
5) Stain leadership indicates the issues in "The Corridor" were regrettable and due to miscommunication - they even compensated me @ 30M for the loss of my assault frig. Mea culpa controverted here once more.
Yes and afaik compensation for the other one was on the way
Quote:
6) "The Corridor" is not just a means of getting from empire to Stain space or CA space. There are plenty of relatively new folks that are looking npc hunt (500-1M ISK bloods in A2, T8H, HED-GP etc) or mine (crokite etc - stuff that can't be mined in empire) or just explore (there are plenty of points of interest in the corridor.) Slaughtering people in "The Corridor" is an act of piracy.
LOL? I have never seen a single ship trying to npc hunt in catch. and definatly no mining. No good ore in disputed catch my friend.

I still "dont get" the whole warzone thing.
Eve has a standings system. You put your enemies to -10 and your friends to +10. You kill the yellow boxes, leave the blue boxes and if in doubt hold your fire on white boxes.
Most entrances to 0.0 are warzones. Pf346 is a also a warzone, BVIP is a warzone, p3en is a warzone. Every bottleneck system is 0.0 is a warzone. Which wars are ongoing in these places vary but there are always wars there. Does this give me the right to kill everyone not allied with my faction in this warzone? It does not.
This is simply a excuse to gank stuff.

Shadowthrone, how long have you been in that part of space, you and your corp just seem to be waltzing over the universe causing trouble for good honest people.
catch has probably been a warzone since before your corp was even born. it is a place in space where multitudes of corporations and factions battle. there is no place there for anybody not going to there to fight.
everybody knows anyways that when if ever the sa/ca war will be won, one side will take it for their own

So let me get this right.
According to Celestial Apocalypse there are no warzones and no disputed lands. According to Celestial Apocalypse everyone outside of a conflict, i.e. neutrals are not to be shot under no circumstances. If it does happen then it is piracy. According to Celestial Apocalypse every alliance or corp that shoots at nautrals outside of their claimed space are to be waged war upon.
This true?

Of course there are warzones. Random ganking in warzones is wrong. What is so wrong with only shooting your enemies? What benefit is there to your war efforts by killing them? How does it improve your K/D ratio? Only killing your enemies counts in wars. Anything else is random ganking.

When is attacking neutrals or unknowns justified in a warzone?
