haven't watched this one yet but just saw over at eve-ic, and i hate to say it while the ending of 1 ship left might have been exciting the winning team looks like it really didnt do well, i mean 500m loss vs 1.4b loss i mean in a monetary way, and in just the sheer size of ships fielded its amazing that their was so much death on the winning team, well played definitly by the team that lost.

You are living proof that people will moan about anything. No prizes in the tournament for how little isk you spend on your ships, in fact I doubt any of the competitors give a toss.

Not only what was mentioned above, but had you actually watched the match instead of speaking about something you don't know about. You would have known it was four BC's VS. one Tengu. It was Epic win sauce and had me on the edge of my seat.

To be fair, we probably should have a) switched immediately to the Scimitar after the first Rook went down, and b) had our Command Ship pilots all fit ECCM - a couple of them had things like target painters / tracking disruptors.
The Rook pilots did a very good job of shutting us down; they kept the majority of the command ships jammed until they died (I think the Absolution got like one or two volleys off, for example).
Definitely well-played by Laconian Syndicate.

Absolution got exactly 4 volleys off. Almost all the AF's were perma jammed. The hero tengu was jammed at least 3 cycles. NH was jammed until it went down. If you check the killboard LACON should have killed the Tengus and they would have only lost the one rook.
LACON did an excellent job with the non-bait scimitar. We had to decide between 2 rooks and 1 scimitar and we figured being able to fire was more important.
Excellent job by them. Salute LACON. - -- Because Internet Spaceships are a <BDEAL> -- - |

Overloaded ECM ftw. All my jams had about 80-90% damage
Watching the match on Youtube I saw it was a lot closer than I thought. GF and good luck to you guys in the next round.

The Tengu pilot deserves an old Roman style Triump through Jita at some point. CCP Organise? Or at least a monument somewhere. That has to be a poster moment for T3's overloading and configuration advantages as well as Kanagawa's skill.
Also he won me a small bet by killing all that stuff

Blam here, confirming shaking on bdeal side. Note: fury based shaking likely caused by immense dps ripping my "tanked" retribution a new one circa 0:06. At least I managed to get my pod away from friendly smartbombs so I could maintain my excellent front row seat for the fight. Grandis had to listen to the cacopheny thar was our vent from station... and had his bounty collected by our sleip pilot for extra ego-based dps. Remember guys: podding friendly directors- it's important.

Quoting this for the next time a 300 million isk setup beats the snot out of a 3 billion isk setup. It doesn't have to be about how much isk you peen away it's what you do with it. ------- CEO of Maids. No I didn't pick the name. I've grown rather fond of it though.Poor PR in progress!
