I remember seeing a yellow navy Domi in a mission. Looked good.
I support the idea of using NPC paint jobs on the new faction ships.

I wouldn't care if the Paintjob din't look like a 3year old child did this with fingerpaint... The texture is just ugly. Realy, realy, realy, realy(repeat 1000x) UGLY It's not the fact that the navy ships get all camo..it's the color AND the rather poor layout. I remember i had to repaint some parts ow a military car when I served my military service some years ago...just the door had more colors and regions then the whole Megathrone (a 6m long car vs a 800m long spaceship)...and that was a vehicle that used a practical paintjob, not a pleasant one (This is a game and I demand nice models and textures)
With this paintjob you could just leave them grey without any details, noone would ever scoop in or watch that ugly duck....

We are deeply sorry you may not like the new skins, however this unfortunately remains a matter of taste. Its a matter of taste? Yes... truly - Thats why this thread exists and that is why dreadnoughts do not have siege vacuums... Your taste sucks.
Quote: why the hell would you use woodland camo in space?
Quote: Definitely not a good point. Paint jobs are a reflection of how the race flying the ships envision themselves. To say that the federation navy has no assosciation with ground fighting on many homeworlds is just plain ignorant. I think its VERY cool to see that they reflect the appearance of how navy officials might actually want their ships painted. The worm has always been one of my favourite paintjobs, and the new paintjob the mega has makes me a bit envious. But then, why am i really wasting my time replying in a topic that calls something that has ZERO bearing on gameplay, unbalanced? What a useless waste of the devs time this thread is. Love the paint jobs.
You talk of bad points , but are you actually listening to yourself? Do you really think a race that has so long passed the cliff of singularity can relate to a woodland scenario let alone envision them selfs there? Its bin almost twenty thousand years since they got stuck in eve and you think they are still running around in the jungle? Are you so "challenged" with the concept of a theme you cant comprehend the absurdity of a colossal woodland camouflaged space battleship.
"Realistically" speaking a gallante SPACESHIP navy officer wouldn't even know what a "woodland combat scenario" is nor would/could the gallante relate to a camouflage in their current wars. Aside from all that do you really think "the defenders of the free world" would squander millions of their taxpayers money on a colossal cosmetic battleship makeover?
And do you honestly think any officer would want that sorry excuse for an art on his ship?
Its true that it has zero bearing on gameplay and balance... so what? A HUGE part if not majority of CCP's staff works towards making the game look better... Reading this thread might be a good idea for them ,- maybe they could get some work done... instead of just copy pasting. There is nothing more un-original than what they have done... No color at all would have bin more unique- and it would certainly outclass those gag stains in style.
You would have to be an imbecile to not notice the extreme lack of artistic intuition and a man of poor taste to actually like it.

You can listen to the badpoints and give self feedback, but the race off the cliff on sisi cannot be adjusted as easily
For woodland u need a chainsaw, u acn envision how it is running around, teh challange is in the endgame
The gallente officer would want a smart AI to run his ship while he focuses the balance of gameplya improvements and graphical enhancements is fine
They have some fine individuals who are driven and are not imbalciles by any stretch Signature - CCP what this game needs is more variance in PVE aspects and a little bit less PVP focus, more content more varied level 1-4 missions more than just 10 per faction high sec low sec and 00 |

a NAVY captain has roots in the JUNGLE? How many freakin' oceans are in the middle of a jungle?
Jungle boat: http://www.richcampingequipment.com/members/1416982/uploaded/It_5_3_man_boat_It_497.jpg
Throw some railguns on there and we're ready to go!
Yes, color schemes are a matter of taste. Jungle cammo in space = BAD taste.

navy captain may very well have roots in a jungle planet. I refer u to the tropical rivers and oceans of earth for example
Railguns are long range for the most part.
Colour scheme obviously was chosen as one that could be applied to a domi jack of all trades able to go for long periods behind enemy lines liek jungle guriellas its semi bad camp type taste
We need more space whales and jungle boats in this game they go well on and under water Signature - CCP what this game needs is more variance in PVE aspects and a little bit less PVP focus, more content more varied level 1-4 missions more than just 10 per faction high sec low sec and 00 |

Well, i have a Navy Apoc and miss the golden hull a lot.
And tbh. if they realy wanted this new color sheme, they should have left the old ships untouched and introduce a new line with the new colors. Because i somehow doubt that the majority of owners would have agreed to the new colors.
I wanted to get me a Navy Mega for my other char, now i am happy i did not buy it. Woodland paint in space....

I hardly think something 30,000 years in the future or whatever painted to look like a bush flying in the middle of space would fool the ship sensors of the day. So there is no excuse, the colour scheme on the drake/raven is nice and CNR is acceptable however these Megathrons and Dominixs are just plain awful at least have them some basic or a solid dark green.

reported by CCP Ytterbium
I don`t know who or what he or she is, but this is really not needed comment.
CCP Ytterbium has a habit of making needless comments that twice have wound up offending me.
Ytterbium we don't want your opinion. We want our ships to look the way we want, because we're your customers and the customer is always right.
Actually the customer is usually a snide moron, especially when they actually believe crap like "the customer is always right".
I actually give CCP some credit here for telling the players to stuff it, although I am still of the opinion that the paint job is horse crap.

Not sure anyone else has noticed, but the type of camo doesnt matter anymore. now that overviews and radar and whatnot make actual visual target accuisition obsolete. the paint is purely aesthetic, notice that no one QQ'd over this paint on the navy vexor, navy exeq or deimos? have some consistency ffs
