Space is cold and lonely :) Obviously you can't bring the past or that 500 million isk you spent on those rigs back. But what you can do is take advantage of the opportunities presented now and stop crying about it. Id also like to reiterate that i'm an abbadon pilot and this isnt my thread...just sticking up for somebody who is likely going to be more negatively affected then I. This resulted in a increased passive tank with or without specialization of the fit in that tanking. The recharge rate gets now increased to balance out the increased hitpoints. This is the reason why the nerf happens: Game Balance. As I mentioned above in my first post in this thread, they should take into account that shield extenders will have less of an effect for passive tanking and reduce the shield recharge rate appropriately on ships reasonably viable for passive tanking to balance out this reduced effect. -------- Ideas for: Mining

This is the reason why the nerf happens: Game Balance. This pretty much. Sure they could have changed them ages ago, but players didn't have rigs and such back when CNRs came out, did they? As they introduce new modules and such, they also have to look at how that will affect the current game mechanics. In this case, they decided that the recharge rate on faction ships was not in line with their T1 counterparts. Hence the change. You knew when you signed up for EVE that they could change the game at any time, you knew they didn't have to ask for your permission for it. It's unfortunate for a lot of people that they will not be able to use their faction ships with a passive tank anymore, but it's a decisive CCP made to preserve game balance.
