How many of you love this game but are way to busy and rarely home to keep up on skills? Some of us eve-onliners have lives, with jobs, school, and famliy that makes it hard to always be on-line. I like this game, and like the feel of able to progress while not online. It would be helpful to be able to change skills while at work thur the website. So us that have lives can keep up with those that have more time.

It would be nice. But I'm happy enough that I can train skills while not playing. Not a single other MMOG allows you to do that. Yet one more reason why EVE wtfpwns all.

This needs to be done. At the moment I have to VNC my computer at home from work (OMG TEH LAG!) and change them.
Im sure it has not been done because you could easily make a program to queue the skills up.
Would be very easy to do.

Good point, but some of us can not load games onto our work computers. Something about conflict of interest.

More power to you. The way I look at it is Eve is a high tech game. Everything that is on my computer is what my character has on his hub. I use all sorts of programs that are not in Eve. Like Ventrilo! So what is wrong with making a program to queue your skills. That is one more helpful tool they SHOULD have anyways for us busy peeps. For once there is a game that the busy people can keep up. Eve should relize this and make it even easier.

this has been requested hundreds of times since i started playing (over 14 months ago). Althought it's a good idea, it's not going to happen. Ever. So say the devs. I dont care tho, if i expect to be away from the game for any length of time that'll not allow me to train shorter skills, i just ad a day or soonto training towards BS level 5 :)

I have a job, and a RL. And I say no!
Seriously, CCP's said no before, and I hope they continue to say no. Skill progression while busy with RL just means you need to think and plan a little. Usually about 2-5 days in advance
Give it a try, it really isn't that hard.
Edit: you are aware you can cancel a skill before its done training and not lose any skill points right? Means you can switch to longer skills if your short term skill currently training is going to end at an inconvienent time.

If not the facility to change skills out of game - which I'm not sure whether it be a good idea or not... then maybe a new skill that allows you to "queue" skill training...
I.e, a high level skill allowing you to queue one extra skill per level.
It's just a thought.

Login - play - manage skill.
No login - no play - no skill change.
It's as easy as that.
