I'm startin to get pretty annoyed. :/
When I try to start Eve, I just get a black screen that never goes away.. So, I tried doin the deleting the Cache and Settings folders, but now, every 2 minutes or so, Eve crashes.
I submitted a bug report, and they tell me to add a DMP and Dxdiag files, but when I try to add the DMP file, it just sits for hours and then firefox stops workin on me.
I have no idea what to do and I really want to play. ><

I am having the same problem and have since the Dominion patch came.
Same issue here, I even created another user account on my desktop and my laptop to try and get around it, I installed Eve on both and it worked on my laptop, but NOT my desktop. So fortunately I can get into the game, and maybe this will work with some of you, but the desktop still isn't working. Reinstall will not work unless you use a whole new desktop user account. Is there a specific reason this is occuring? Can CCP please get onto this, people have had this problem ever since Dominion release.

Ok here is my story for what it's worth. After the last patch things started to slow down a bit. After jumping through a stargate the eve client starts loading the new star system which is approximately 5 to 10 seconds. This happens somewhat irregularly, but gets annoying when you have to do 15+ jumps. I also noticed that the eve client starts loading for some time when I open the market. This also takes 5-10 seconds approximately. If the market gets updated in the meantime, you have to wait another 5-10 seconds. When you have opened your wallet and the market it gets even worse. Yesterday I placed 8 buy orders, normally it would take me less than 2 minutes, but the client kept loading after every click and it took me about 18-20 minutes to finish. 
Anyone having the same 'load time' problems with the market, wallet and stargates?

Military 5 and Industrial 4 with all the appropriate upgrades and I log in to an empty system, when just before DT there were 4 Gravs and many untouched anomalies. Now there is nothing and even my bookmarks to the gravs from just before DT result in empty space with no message saying I am warping to a grav/hidden belt. This is the second time in the past 7 days that this has happened... What is going on? -----------------------

Same here. Completely fresh build of Windows 7 Ultimate this weekend, then a fresh install of the Eve client and it still does it. Although it may just have resolved my chat windows becoming unstacked  (Win 7 x64, ATI 4890)

Once a player logs in, his/her status remains "online" forever. I currently have 3 corpmates online, however the member list shows about 40 online.
Hard to determine who the active players are.

I STILL CAN'T GET THE CLIENT WORKING...TRIED EVERY FIX OUT THERE AND HAVE REACHED THE POINT OF FRUSTRATION THAT I'VE CANCELED ONE ACCOUNT AND AM ABOUT TO CANCEL MY MAIN!!! I HAVE PLAYED THIS GAME FROM THE BEGINNING AND CANT GET IN SINCE THIS NEW PATCH...I HOPE IT LOOKS NICE FOR EVERYONE WHO CAN!!!

I encountered exactly the same problem, i lost 29 days of training time (Bs level5). Very annoying... I wrote a petition, i hope ccp will somehow correct this. Did you have any luck solving this problem?

- R.A.M. problem while building tech II stuff is still here. - CPU usage jumps to 100% on a regular basis (warping a ship seems to have something to do with it). I have a decent CPU (Intel E6850 @ 3 Ghz), but the basics, such as watching a satellite TV stream with VLC, becomes impossible (that's a 4% CPU/47MB usage thread). Strangely, the frame rate will not drop at all, no stuttering or glitches. I'm using a dual screen setup, running multiple full-screen clients (this due to windowed clients will crash my computer within 20 minutes, or rather my 8800GT so severely that I have to reboot, screens will indicate they lost signal, audio stutters and stops, etc). The problem persists after minimizing all clients, e.g. while typing this in Firefox. - Jukebox seems to play a song, then stops only to resume after me explicitly changing/restarting a song. Order of the songs gets messed up too.
Using Windows 7. Latest drivers, updates.

I can't rename a wallet division for our corp. I keep getting an "illegal character" error no matter what name I use -- even if I try to leave the name blank!

I recently started my 5 free days to come back and tryout the new expansion. After re-activing my account i downloaded the game and when i tried to play, the dominion screen pops up and after 15 seconds it disappears and then nothing. Whats going on?

I get BSOD occasionally while playing eve online.
The error message was : Page_Fault_in_Non_Paged_Area
and the problem is ialmdev5.dll
My video card is Intel GMA 950 with the newest driver.

With respect I have been keeping watch to see if my issues were mentioned and/or addressed. They have been mentioned but not addressed. So now a month later I will chime in with the hopes a fix can be found or suggested.
1. In game browser drops me straight to the desktop. It doesn't matter if I try to launch the browser or click a hyper-link in chat. This happened before the patch as well.
2. Jukebox. Play list is there and for me always has been. Prior to the patch it worked great. Since the patch I open the jukebox and click play and the thing begins rapidly scrolling through the play list. No music at all it is just like holding the down arrow key. All other sounds in EVE are good and solid.
All drivers are current for my system What I have done. 1. Read the forum. 2. Checked all the paths in the play list and in the desktop shortcut. All good. 3. installed new install to .../eve2/ with same results. 4. uninstalled both installations. cleared all cache and temporary files. practiced zen acceptance till achieving a new level of cosmic oneness and then reinstalled. Same exact results. Play list just scrolls no matter if I push play, forward or reverse. Stop does make the scrolling stop. And the ingame browser dumps me direct to desktop.
Any suggestions would be appreciated as I am now thinking of reverting my new found zen philosophies since cosmic oneness did not aid me in this situation! lol
It isn't a huge deal but I like to play games with the ambiance as it adds to my experience. The music does play in media player and win-amp but it just isn't the same as having the game shift mood gears for me.

Completely delete the cache folder and ALL CCP folders.
I tried everything when that happened to me, I downloaded the full client again, tried just clearing the cache, was pretty much short of reformating, but then I tried to do the above. EVE ofc was not cooperating even when it wasn't started as a process it claimed some part of the folder was "in use" so I had to try in safemode and finally cleared all CCP folders from the app data to the program folder. Once that was done I did a fresh install and it worked again.
Mind you what caused this joy was one of those lovely unexpected server crashes.
Oh and a side note, some anomaly spawns still don't seem to be working...
Do the spawn, clear the site, wait 5 min, hmm no new entry when there was yesterday... Warp back to the anom, ah it's still there, it should have despawned....warp out and wait 10 min...hmm no new spawns...sigh, broken again.
I hope it's just a small issue that happened over DT, if all of your anoms are working can you tell me what you do to despawn them? Killing all the rats and leaving I guess doesn't work.

I have two that I have tried with no luck. Everything worked fine before Dominion and everything still works fine for every other game I play or application I use.
There is the onboard SoundMAX AD1988 on my Asus P5NT Deluxe motherboard and a separate PCI Sound Blaster Audigy ZS Platinum that I enable and use for audio recording purposes (not used for gaming, but I tried it anyways with the same result: everything else works great except for in-game non-music sound in EVE).
I have surely tried and checked every setting the game has to offer, as well as every setting I can possibly think of within Windows Vista Home Premium 64-bit.
If you would like, I can provide dxdiag files when I get home from work.
Let me know that you have seen this either way please, as I'd like to know that it's being looked into. Thank you for your quick response.

Still no sound. I have narrowed it down to UI sound (yes, I have it set to MAX in the options screen). If I turn up my speakers to MAX (window shattering MAX) I can somewhat hear the UI sound (like mouse overs, button clicks, combat lock on sounds, fitting window sounds etc.), but otherwise I get nothing. The Music still works fine, the Eve Voice Computer Lady still works fine, warp sounds are fine, undock sounds are fine and many more. I'm assumiong however you have them divided up into catagories, that I am only not hearing the UI sound section of your sounds.
I know this isn't a "big" deal to everyone, but to someone combat orientated, this is quite annoying. I cannot hear when someone locks on to me and if I happen to be in the middle of something else, this can be quite dangerous. I am quoting myself above, with the info of my sound cards and OS. If you want any dxdiag output or log files or anything, please let me know and I will gladly give them to you to try and get this fixed sometime soon(tm).
I'm getting really tired of singing to myself and making my own UI sound effects. Any news on this? You got back to me right after my first post, but I haven't heard anything since. It's not even listed in the known issues thread. I'm not the only one having this issue, people in my corp and alliance are having it too. Your head, my lap; 'nuf said. |

Two Problems:
I cannot use People and Place to search a character. I get a blank screen. This only occurs with one character (my main) on this account. If I type the character's name wrong I get a screen that tells me "No character can be found.......", however if I type it correctly I get a blank screen. This seems to be a unique problem to my main character on this account, and unique to this computer (Windows). If I load that character on my other older and slower computer I don't have this problem. For my other accounts, and other characters, people and places search works fine on both computers!
My other problem is that I cannot always cleanly disconnect from Eve. My computer will lock up, my mouse randomly moves across the screen without any help from me, and I am helpless to do anything on my computer until eve completely closes. This can go on for five or so minutes. This happens on my old computer and on my new computer, and happens equally to each of my accounts, irregardless of which character I am attempting to log off with.
I am running windows XP on both computers and have active virus protection on both.
Any suggestions you can give me to resolve these problems will be greatly appreciated.

I sent my original petitions on my other account, which has now run out of gametime thanks to CCP. I am all out of ideas. I sent a petition in on the 4th of December (give or take a day), that wasn't dealt with, I sent in a stuck petition 10 days later, that wasn't dealt with, my account subscription ran out on the 17th of December so those petitions closed (I pay by Plex so not being able to log in means I can't re-subscribe). I sent in an email petition on the 24th of December, it's now 5 weeks after Dominion and I STILL cannot play.
This is quite possibly the worst customer service I have EVER experienced.
Anyway, my problem again. I cannot install the client, it worked fine before dominion, and now it doesn't. Every time I try to install it, I get an error about some files in the download being corrupt. I've tried every simple fix for this, like deleting and re-downloading the client from scratch instead of the patch, etc etc.
So I've been unable to play for 5 weeks, that's 5 weeks of lost gametime, without a single reply from CCP. I'm pretty disgusted tbh.

I dont know if this has been discussed before. Tried search and didnt get anything.
Its about corp bulletins. It works very well to write up a bulletin full of fancy colors, fonts in different sizes, charcter links, and web page links etc.
The problem comes when you try and edit the bulletin. With all the above features in use the editor refuses to let you edit the bulletin! But if you clear the text of bling, it edits just fine. Of course you will have to add all the links and colors back in afterwards again. A royal pain in the ****. Real Miners **** In Bottles |
