Too many MMORPGs coming out to decide. Think I'll play each of them for the free month, then cancel and move to the next. Who knows what I'll stick with, after trying all the ones I'm interested in, almost six months from now.

I'll most likely just skill for a week or so untill i've made up my mind if WoW is good or not

tryin to download the bugger, but it seems mozilla 1.8a4 has a download bug with large files, the zip is corrupted (I tried twice)...

Downloaded and playing. In gameplay terms it feels like Dark Age of Camelot. Can't see what the fuss is all about.
So in war, the way is to avoid what is strong and to strike at what is weak. |

cant seem to decide if itl be ibtl...............
anyway been playing wow on a friends euro beta account.. and we will stat to play wow when it gets out but only thing im seeing is me getting bored of it when i have lv 50 witch will be after 3 months or so..

im not looking forwarward to wow altho i love all the blizz games and made a few big hit maps on warcraft 3 and tft i have to say im not looking forward to it. cant put my finger on it,

Reminds me way to much of Final Fantasy Online, Hack Slash, gain EXP. Looks like you can level very easily.

The problem with all these fantasy MMOGs is that they're really formulaic -- sure, Blizzard's a reliable source of sleek games and stylized art, but that doesn't change the fact that they're still making a level-grinding fantasy MMOG with a PvE focus. It's not fundamentally different from Dark Ages of Camelot, Everquest, Lineage, or any of the others. :/

ive been playing beta since 7/10/2004 and open beta etc...
WoW is like fun, for a while and the pvp sucks there is no real reason to play that game if you dont like PvE because that game is 95% PVE the pvp they say will have some function but i doubt it very very much...
support Idea: QuickInfo an alternative to ShowInfo

One additional note, that allthough Blizzard has produced some truely stunning cinematic trailers for this game (and other games), we are moving past the cinematic-as-payoff era of games, and the in-game graphics of wow looks like an old PSX version of spyro the dragon, or ff7 it really isnt up to date at all.
also I think they are using the everquest engine?
that is what starwars galaxies is using, and their lag/inaccuracy is just horrible, one of my students told me he and his brother was playing SW-g and was flying speederbikes, on each their machine in the same room, on each their screen they were ahead of the other (ie: on their own screen they were like 500m ahead of the other... both of them) so the inaccurary is so horrible they dont even try pvp...  
even the paranoid has real enemies...

I dont get why wow is so demanding on my pc vs say another game with far better graphics though...
as far as other tech issues i cant address that i have no clue about that...

This game is really horrible...
There is nothing new here. The graphics are very bad IMO as well...
