Someone needs to call the whambulance on these super-cap pilots. For the small percentage of the player-base you folks represent, your concerns are.... trivial. You clearly have billions of isk. Pay someone to listen to you complain. You're going to have a hard time getting sympathy out of the bulk of us still running 4's in battleships.
I'm not one to defend someone who already has all the money but seriously people, I'm sure CCP is trying as hard as they can to get your stations back online. Just take a deep breath and have some eggnog for Caldari's sake.

Very good question. CCP, does the above timetable mean the following statement is true?
You may buy the DMUs (Disruption marker units) on the 8th, but pointless deploying until the 15th when the Invulnerability of Sov is removed.

So can we get a response about upgrades and sov?
That is the point of this thread, right (we ask questions, you provide info)?

No, that is not what it means at all. Your sovereignty will be vulnerable to attack. The Sovereignty Blockade Units (SBU) if onlined at more than 51% of your systems gates makes your outpost if in system, or infrastructure hub if it is in system or your TCU vulnerable.
The grace period only relates to the existing sovereignty restricted starbase structures such as cyno jammers and jump bridges. Before the grace period ends at downtime Tuesday 15th December you must have the appropriate strategic upgrade installed into the infrastructure hub in order for these to remain online afterwards.

And what about moving TCUs? And namely - restoring sovereignty after moving it to another location. Because if everybody decides to leave TCUs where they were placed (p1m1) then you might aswell add 'Hai come shoot me for fun' under the alliance logo of the TCU.

The lack of refuelling boredom makes some people happy, for sure, but their masters won't let them talk in public...
Still, the momkills with just a bit more damage than the titan DD makes no sense... No matter how crap fitted they were (T2 tanking? lol, faction is cheap compared to the other stuff in the fit).

ccp are you trying to make your customers quit?
First post...
Quote: Due to this discovery, we will therefore extend the grace period, allowing Alliances to better prepare for the upcoming Sovereignty changes.
Now you post
Quote: No, that is not what it means at all. Your sovereignty will be vulnerable to attack.
Could you for the love of god learn how to communicate with your customers; your original post should have said
"we will let you keep your current strategic level till the 15th to allow for more time with deloyment, however the new sov system goes live on the 8th after dt."
This is just another example of ******ed comms which make me wonder why I play this game.

This sov update did amazing things, while the rest of our constellation has sov 2 (pre-dominion sov 3) as of today we now have 2 systems that were the last to hit sov 3 pre dominion now sitting at 85% to level 4. Cool Patch Bro.

Who will get notification of BCU's being deployed in your system -- or attack notifications?
So far it appears that only directors are getting this information, and only the directors in the corporation that holds the system sov.
These notifications need to go out on an alliance wide basis or we will not be able to properly monitor them.

Thank you for the update.
It has been asked a few times, but no answer yet, so I'll ask again. Will it be possible to contest sov starting tomorrow when the disruptors are seeded, or are TCUs invulnerable until the 15th?
If I'm reading right it looks like the "grace period" is only for getting TCUs anchored while not losing strat index. We should be able to contest anchored TCUs as soon as the units are seeded. Would a dev please confirm or deny this? ---------------- We're recruiting quality players. Check us out. |

These forums are becoming more and more useless because of stupid posts like the ones at the beginning of this thread and then there are the thread hijackers. Since when did this thread become about motherships?
CCP, you need to delete those useless posts and those that aren't on topic. Yeah, you can delete this off-topic thread too.

Yes, the only thing stopping sovereignty from being contested is the lack of Sovereignty Blockade Units to anchor and online at the gates in systems you wish to contest. They will be seeded on the market tomorrow during downtime.

The grace period only affects the time you have to install strategic upgrades into hubs in systems where you wish to keep your jump bridge or cyno jammer array online. For example, the jump bridge starbase structure requires the Advanced Logistics Network Strategic upgrade installed into the infrastructure hub.
If that requirement is not met before downtime on the 15th December then the jump bridge will go offline after downtime when we lift the grace period.

Not being a WoW player myself, I took a brief look at their forums, and I have to say, the day when 'go back to WoW' actually becomes a compliment in terms of the quality of forum posts doesn't look to be as far off as I'd thought. Who let all these whiny teenagers in? I agree with the previous (non-dev) post; CCP should clean the thread of this needless rude spam.
Keep up the good work CCP! I wish you luck in ignoring the idiots.
In other news, governments of the world are looking to introduce an IQ test to control access to the Internet in an attempt to stem the tide of web-enabled complete morons... |

Was my question stupid, do I have the wrong forum, or has this been answered already -- and if so, where. Thank you

Edited by: db T on 08/12/2009 00:53:51 Edited by: db T on 08/12/2009 00:52:57 What I find amusing about this thread is how the only ones supporting CCP, not pointing out how they've botched Dominion and so on, are the people who doesn't show corp- or allianceticker.
PS: I know why.
It's because you play EVE in highsec without any human interaction and as long as Ravens spew out free isk you won't say ****.
PPS: How to not be a moronic douchebag: Do not comment on something you have no experience with. ie no-corp alts should be quiet from now on kthxbye.
edit for clarification: ... because you don't know anything.
