There's a damned load of special achievement prizes for smaller outfits to win who might not stand a chance at winning the main prize you know? And tbh it's -about- the mayhem and having fun, the prizes are just a nice little bonus to give out to people. I don't think you "get" hulkageddon.

For those that do care, they'll create a quick train alt and just wait a few months to delete it. Security status has NEVER been a detriment to a regular pirate and is easily skirted by the wannabe gangs by just waiting a couple months to wipe the character. The only downside to piracy in Eve is having to use an alt (or alt account) to get cheap ships / fittings if you can't build your own. So Crimson, this isn't real life, where it's a pain to be hunted by the lawman. This is Eve where there are zero consquences for piracy / suicide ganking other than a little time to haul in the extra ships if you don't have a second account. Sec Status is irrelevant to killing a hulk, it just take a bit more logistics.
