Being a noob in investing, I guess this is a nice first lesson for me.á
Thou I could *afford* to loose 2b, I must admit, that it was a bit more, than I was prepared for this timeframe, especially now that my computer is broken, and I can only post through my sister's ancient linux machine.
Well, it was a gamble and I lost.
Scam is solid, and it more than deserves a post in c&p.
Now I must facepalm at myself, and wait for my laptop to be fixed.

I had a *lot* of investors, and folks - it was nothing personal, and I'm glad there haven't been any truly angry posts. I'm not looking for tears, wasn't looking for tears, and my thread isn't a "hahaha here's how stupid people are" thread calling people out in order of magnitude.
It was just business, and a social engineering experiment; I created the belief that I was a mega-wealthy player, and wanted to see how far I could take that.
The ISK I was giving away yesterday wasn't a "double your ISK" scam, just giving away hundreds of millions and billions of ISK to anyone in local who asked as a Christmas present. I *do* have a fleet of officer fit battleships now - there is nothing else in Eve for me to have to buy; I have an entire fleet of Meta14 fit ships. As such, I'm glad to give away bunches.
Please keep in mind though that I have a...benefactor...or something to whom all my ships and "stuffz" are entitled. This was sort of a fund-raising blitz for them. =p

Nice move, MD is full of suckers for anyone with a self-proclaimed rep. Burning your rep in one move isn't the mark of a master social engineer though, you still have a way to go. Still, well done, your songs were cheesy but your exit is pure gold. You are one of the few to embrace the metagame and make it awesome.

Now why not give the ISK back - since you say you are leaving?

This is a master stroke. I've been a fan of you pretty much since the week I started playing EVE with Eve University. I heard the Sabre A song and was hooked. I learned about EVE history from you (EVE Online is for Bob, the day the 'Geddons died, etc.), and I am going to miss you so much when you leave! Your parodies and the fiction threads... I hope you have a fun where you're going! What MMO have you chosen? I might do a trial sub just to come fangirl swoon over you. XD
This has gotta be the best possible way you could've gone out of EVE. Much love, much props, 10/10, A++ would read again.

I'm at work right now and I came across this thread as my co worker was asking about EVE. Thanks Mr. Dax for helping me explain the possibilities of a game like EVE. It showered a perfect example of the underbelly of the game and of humans in general. Be it good or bad.. Greed or pride.. It was summed up beautifully.
