lol I was worried you were gonna say that 
I would suggest that a well-reasoned "we the undersigned" letter to one of the more reasonable mods outlining the reasons for keeping it in MD would be far more effective than mass pestering.

Lol. Ok - we could be reasonable and do it your way I suppose.
How do we send a mod a letter? post a thread and get people to sign it? As far as a target mod goes, I would suggest Navigator as he is the Boss and seems pretty reasonable.

If you make a thread it will get locked for "discussing moderation". In the past Navigator has said to use petitions.

Hmmm...I'm unsure of the exact medium. I just strongly believe that one well-supported argument would be more effective than 100 "hey yer stoopid mod" petitions.

Sadly, rational discourse with the powers that be is rarely possible in a totalitarian (albeit paternalistic in the good sense, most of the time at least) social system. Annoying mass movements have traditionally been the only way to sway them short of outright invasion by opposing societies (not sure how that could work in this context  ). In fact, I suspect that even discussion of how to discuss something with the higher powers is probably forbidden. Prayer might be the only suitable way forward.

LMFAO. Very good pont.
However, this is a rare situation where we can attempt the soft option first without death squads dragging off our families should we fail. The hard option isn't lost in this case.
