Cista2 Jita Direct Sale	Posted - 2010.01.03 14:13:00 - [1] I have managed secondary trade of my own shares for a couple of months now. Apart from Jidsale, there has been regrettably little resale activity in that period. In the hope of aiding a larger and more dynamic secondary market in 2010, I will now begin monitoring any trade of shares on MD in this thread. It can serve as a manual stock exchange while we await the coming of an automated one cough. It doesnÆt matter if people use this platform or not, I will simply record trades of shares here. You can use it as an overview of what is out there, and you can post in the thread to announce WTB and WTS shouts of any shares that are on the market. I will list all known IPOs. Bonds will be listed if and when they are traded. There's some things I personally wish I could see and perhaps already mentioned/thought by others, but for the life of me my knowledge for how it is to be implemented is laughable at best. Would it be possible to have all this constantly (and manually) updated data over on to another site that allows it to be graphically structured with a more coherent page hierarchy and not restricted by the limitations of the forums? Assuming you are interested in keeping this alive, as more offerings are validated you're going to run out of space and for the end-user it can look like a mess to wade through. Idea-wise generally I was thinking along these lines: ________________________________________ 1) A "Summary" Page This is the page where all companies and bonds are listed/added in an alphabetical order (could be simple text list? tabled?) along with a short caption of the nature of their venture/company (which is preferably thought up by the venture's manager and provided to the site). So for example: Armada Ventures (Corporation) - Specialist armor repair resellers Broccoli Business (Corporation) - A mineral trading bond/corporation. Captain Obvious (Sole Proprietor) - "Currently running a catalyst building operation with public funding" ________________________________________ ________________________________________ 2) Individual Corporation/Venture/etc pages So on the "summary" page all the names of the corporation or individual will be linked to their own urls, which will show (maybe in sections, or perhaps tabled) for example: Name of Business Corporation/Owner: Captain Obvious Ventures: 1 - Destroyer Bonds 500mil/10% <- Linked to bond's thread in MD (10-Dec-2009 to 30-Dec-2009) <-Start/End date 2 - Destroyer Bonds II 2bil/10% (1-Jan-2010 - ongoing) (Current) Buying: Mr. Buyer, 10 Shares at 10mil each \| 5-Jan-2010 Mr. Scalper, 10 Shares at 10.1mil each \| 5-Jan-2010 (Current) Selling: Mr. Seller, 5 Shares at 15mil each \| 7-Jan-2010 Trade History: Mr. Undercut sold 5 shares at 14mil each to Mr. Anonymous \| 31-Dec-2009 Mr. Bread sold 10 shares at 12mil to Mr. Crumbs \| 5-Jan-2010 Mr. Bread sold 10 shares at 12mil to Mr. Cream \| 6-Jan-2010 Notes: Venture manager available as 3rd party trustee in event of share transfers. Which, in all likelihood, I think* is something VERY tedious to keep up with for one person. Otherwise since I'm unknowledgeable in implementation I will not judge how easy or difficult this would be to pull off. For anyone that have read this post (including you Cista) and have some thoughts/inputs, what do you think? Is this viable? Would it be possible to have an out-of-eve forums site support where perhaps restricted permissions (more secure, not so freely editable. Think wikipedia.) are given to the own venture managers after being verified by the site owner to update/input data into this manual database? Would anyone be interested in making something like this work for primarily the ease and enjoyment of end-users to secondary marketing in Eve? How complex or how simple should it be? What about costs? Upkeep? Effort required? Other ideas? Alternatives? Is something along a similar or (much welcomed) better vein by anyone or a group in the MD community already in place/being configured? The modest aim of such a site I believe would be for it to be used as a very user-friendly secondary market portfolio summary page, with which more elaborate or relevant details are simply linked back to their MD threads (where people who then want to invest take their discussions to). Then the URLs from these entities are simply forwarded to the person with the google doc summary list? Provides for delegation of workload using already available means of digital information sharing. Cons being I believe everyone would then need a google doc account? Another con being perhaps no immediate means of updatable and then viewable wants/sells unless free editing was allowed, which naturally brings about its own problems (akin to giving POS research job permissions to corp members). If the venture manager is the only one to update it then there needs to be a certain commitment for him to keep doing so, and people buying/selling have to resort to out-of-google docs communications (delayed information, not as immediate). And I'm sure there's more I'm forgetting about here. Which brings me to the point... I guess in summary I simply have the desire of seeing something more standardised, visually and otherwise, by converging secondary market trading data into a neater package.

Thanks for the ideas, I will probably add some more fluff to this as time goes by. But if you look at what I have put on display here, there is simply not much going on in the secondary market. I enjoy collecting this information, and maybe we will see more activity this year. Certainly, if somebody wanted to make a independent webpage out of this, they can just take the info from here. Rather than create yet another thread I think I will post updates here on the common stock tracker. Any other ipo owners that wish to update their shareholders on this thread, or just post a link, are of course very welcome to do so. So, as a very informal mid-month update on Jidsale/Cista2: Business has in fact been quite horrible for me this month. This is mainly due to me sitting on a couple of bad leftover Dominion mineral stocks, which dimishes my liquid isk. Since I am selling no more shares I am getting no isk injection that way. Finally, due to my periodical turnover of the market sectors I went into implants this month. Big mistake. Implants and me don't get along well. As a result of this, my trading activity came to a crawl by mid-month. I reckon the best expression of this is the sum of sell orders I have out at any given point. While this figure came close to 10 bn in late December, by midmonth it hit rock bottom with 1 bn isk out. Fortunately I am now (almost) out of the implants and in a much better trade dynamic, and sell orders are back up at 4-5 bn as I type this. Nevertheless, the days of doubling NAV each month are over. I anticipate a NAV growth similar to the past month, so about 12-14 bn this month for a total NAV of close to 40 bn. Dividends will continue as usual, I have to intention of winding down the ipo this year. ----------------------- MD stock market / Audits 001 / MD investees

To help giving Block's initiative a bit of momentum I have decided to virtualise a few JIDSALE shares, probably 20. These have been traded at 70 mil lately, but I will let them go for 50 mil per share. This is once-only opportunity to get in on the Jidsale franchise for cheap. In the BSAC exchange this means that 160,000 virtual shares will be sold for 6,250 isk per share - or highest offers that are already in there. Dividend is 1,250 per month so a nice 20 % dividend. You should be able to buy these and sell them immediately with profit. So keep a look out for when this happens! Dividends are paid next time on Feb 1.
