Now I think guys do the same thing but we dont call it that~ We call it making sure we look badass and play down words like "dress up" and "outfits". The existance of an exception doesnt prove the norm of course.

Not because of the relationship aspect but because there is like 50% of the market out there that no-one is tapping into. It's no real shock that sims was one of the best selling games ever purely because it was the first real game (imo) that tapped into both male and female markets. One major problem for women gamers is not only the stuff that talked about here but also the stigmatism surrounding gamers. In america it is ALOT (and I do mean massively) more acceptable for women to play games than in the UK (I have no knowledge about the rest of europe but I presume it is the same) there is a severe hangup about gaming in the general public's eye. I think massively multiplayer games can break down that stigmatism a bit more than 1 plyr games because everyone knows women love to chat (/me hides from rinnywee). Now all we gotta do is get them hooked on eve... Perhaps CCP should start promoting the game so that women get more interested? "Buy Eve, it's choco-shopping tastic" or "Buy Eve, spend all day chatting to your friends then find out all the gossip from abour your next door alliance!" Or maybe I'll just go get as far away from rinny-wee before she beats me up. I know, I know, patronising, generalising and being prejudiced? But hey, I'm male... I don't pretend to know wtf makes women tick. What we really need are more women pushing the games from their perspective and until that happens... I was going to buy CoH just so that I could be the most "attracted to the same sex" character imaginable and then I was going to roleplay it. But screw it, I didn't.... on a side note mechanical desktop and the coordinates from making bookmarks makes finding safespots very easy, I just thought I'd say so since DigitalCommunist seemed a little out of line earlier.
