There could be special smaller, slower, safer ships and they'd be restricted to planetry operations and chatting on the channels. Obviously, they'd need lvl5 in numerous skills before they'd be allowed out of the station in any kind of ship and even then they'd be restricted to the same system. (Although, a real player partner could of course transport her out to another system if he had the right skills...). I think that would make it a real hit amongst the weaker species! Hmmmm, I wonder why I haven't got a girlfriend?

I know: 1 woman that plays The Sims (but can't decide whether Sims or Black & White is her favourite game, no men I know play Black & White regularly) 3 men that plays The Sims, none of which say it's their favourite. 2 women that have GTA3 as their favourite game (and more that play it) 0 men that have GTA3 as their favourite game (3 that play it sometimes though) (DBP, take note, you are on to something there! ;) 1 woman that have Max Payne as her favourite game 0 men that have Max Payne as their favourite game 1 woman that have Europa Universalis as her favourite game 1 man that have Europa Universalis as his favourite game I don't even know anyone IRL outside of my family that play EVE, so a comparison would be unfair. So from my experience, saying that "men like X types of games" and that "women like Y types of games" holds less water than an old man with prostate cancer... There is no "magic trick" to get people per-gender to play a game, it's mainly a matter of "exposing" the games. For example, adverts in Gaming magazines mostly reach men (or boys), so simply making a game "different" won't do anything if it's only advertised in those Gaming magazines.
