It was fine when we had just fighters and Drones, this new drone adds more volume. The Nyx has it great but now I am going to have to do a juggling act with drones. Not kewl.
So you now can't equip your ship to do everything well at the same time... Buhu... (this is probably intended by CCP).
Supercarriers are capital killers, thus you should carry bombers. Leave the fighters to the carriers....

At the risk of not sounding like a "real" eve player, I personally love playing the greatest MMO on earth, and the only one that I know of that has everyone playing on ONE server. I also realize CCP doesn't walk on water due to their divine powers. Love the fact that when there are bugs CCP addresses them and listens to the players. So I'm gonna dry my tears, and enjoy the game. If people can't do that they need to do a youtube search for CCP HTFU, loved the video too CCP, and thanks for the work all the CCP staff puts into the game. Yes there are bugs, yes CCP will fix them so the only improvement I really need immediatly that would really change my life is a job with CCP so I could get paid to play

Yeah, I suppose so, maybe just have 20 Fighter Bombers and 10 Fighters, Kinda ******ed that the Nyx gets a Drone bay bonus and a Damage bonus. Pre Fighter Bombers there was a large amount of space so there was no real issue. Post Fighter Bombers it's changed. Will see how it does on the battlefield. Havn't really had any corp mates offer their Battleships for testing :P

I'm not sure if people just intentionally break their clients or if they're just unlucky, but personally I'm having very few to no problems with Dominion at the moment. The only thing I've really noticed is the Dominix's lack of thruster flame and the slight lag when entering and exiting warp (though I wouldn't be surprised if this is simply my slow network)
It's been crashing a few times on my laptop (Inter Mobile 945GM chipset with Centrino Duo and 2GB RAM) which leads me to the conclusion that the client simply does not like lower-end hardware very much. It seems to occur almost every time I open the Market (or perhaps any function that requires loading any considerable amount of data) while in space.
Other than that, kudos on the new IGB, the refreshed probing system (the Cosmic Signatures being a welcome breather from endless mission running) and the planets. Really like the new planets, and despite what many might think about them, I believe they add to the overall impression of the game, whether you spend hours examining them or not. I wouldn't mind having the Player Channels button back, since I actually haven't been able to find out how to join channels lately (though I haven't exactly tried).
Think that's mostly it for now...

New Sov mechanics still seem to encourage massive blob fights. 1600 in system atm, only a few hundred able to fight (barely). Still more pilots trying/failing to log in.
I know you've heard it all before. But it always seems to come back to CCP's fetish for the epic. Bigger and tougher ships, timers to encourage large meetings, sov structures that can only be killed by large, heavy fleets (and still take a while). These all contribute to 1600-ship node crasher fights.
Bringing Moms back into it only aggravates the situation. Nobody uses these unless there's a massive fleet.
Gigantic battles would indeed be super awesome (as evidenced by CCP's videos) and I'd love to fight them. But they simply don't work in practise. CCP needs to stop actively encouraging them: for the sake of the players, and for the sake of EVE's long-term viability.

I have but one question.
When are you getting a Quality Assurance department? No I'm not being funny, I'm being serious. Given what bugs make it thru and what things get broken and how they get broken It's very easily to conclude by the power of occams razor that you dont have one at all.
To help here is what you can do:
1) Define a common test plan of core features, then compare to make sure they still work after your patch is applied on a test server.
2) Employ staff to action that
3) Define a test plan of new features in the patch and define expected outcomes and compare that to what it actualy does
4) Get staff to action that
5) *IMPORTANT ONE HERE* Listern to those staff and and tell your release developer to listern to them and then fix what they find is broken.
6) Once all the above is done and everybody happy, then you release said patch and not before. Late is better than broken unless you want to **** off the shareholders/customers and in your business model the customer is for all effect more important than any shareholder.
You can also use feedback from players who could use some form of contact to alert you to bugs they find, though lets not push our luck here. The obove 6 steps would be a great start.
I hope you find that insite into what Quality Assurance does helpful and the introduction of it within CCP to be most profitable with lots of happy times, until then I fear we are doomed to see people kicked in the electronic testies and get upset when they find out there paying for it.

I have an issue with Dominion:
It sucks.
Please add this vital information to the patch notes.

All good stuff that exists in every professional development shop; some other best practice processes include. 1) Incremental development trumps big bang releases every time. 2) Automated Unit testing to prevent regression errors.

So far so good, though I have given up on the jukebox ever being fixed and have added the EVE soundtrack to itunes and play it in the background out of game.
Not ideal, but as a workaround it's more successful than any of the suggestions in the Known Issues section (which incidentally is still showing known issues for Dom 1.0.3.
Can we assume by this that those are all still issues?

I am not happy about my shader option. My graphics card can not do the high setting, so now low is my only option. It significantly lowers the visual experience of playing the game for me, and I cannot afford to upgrade my computer and play Eve.
Not happy at all.

You guys seriously need to upgrade. If you are useing laptops, you need to upgrade them every 2 years at least. It's just that freaking simple. Desktop computers need new video cards at least every 2 years as well. I understand that this is a hard financial times, but again, routine upgrades. They're routine for a reason.

The point being that there wasn't much warning so alot of people were unable to budget so close to christmas to accomodate such a change. Anyhow laptops are just for skill changes, thought everybody knew that already

Try enabling Anti-Aliasing in your graphics driver, then. Even 2x or 4x setting makes a difference. It will make the game look much better.

Is anyone else having planets load the new textures during warping and then when you drop out of warp the texture unloads?
