Ummm sorry to throw some facts into the bull**** but...
When BoB lost sov it was 100% and would have taken a week to get cynojammer protection back and jump bridges up again. Also would have been a minimum 23 hours to get basic sov back again. With the alliance gone standings would be shot and other problems would be confounding things.
Now Goons lost sov... it was not entire regions - go look at the maps. It was 10-15% tops. It was also ONLY one corporation within the alliance, and occurred at exactly 60 days from dominion. Thats 2 bill cycles afaik.
With the new sov mechanics, it takes the TCUs 8 hours to online, upgrade levels don't decay immediately, so JBs and cynojammers could be back up in under a day.
BoB lost 100% coverage for a week, and their enemies knew it was coming. Goons lost 15% coverage for 8 hours, and no-one knew it was coming.
The two events are barely comparable.

Great job CCP.

At least you are right about the last bit. The point of the matter is, when BoB's sov dropped, they retained control over all their assets and stations. Within a few hours, IT could take stations and sov, without so much as a single pos to blow up first (we blew up over 500 to take delve, if you recall).

I think it's fairly easy to nitpick over who had/has it worse for this particular situation, the two events vary on the negative effects and duration. I think people should focus on a happy middle ground where consensus can possibly be reached... like the fact that several hundred people still can't stop laughing about this.

Whine all you want but to claim you are facing greater difficulties than BoB did back then is laughable.
I disagree, BoB got sov back in all their systems when they formed Kenzoku, so they were still able to dock and get their ships and form proper fleets to defend, just lost their cynojammers.
Goons on the other hand, cannot dock again or get their caps/ships out to properly defend before 24 hours has even passed. Goons are far more ****ed, which is, hilarious.
Bob lost all defenses in every single system they had, jb's, cj's ect. Goons have only lost 25% of their territory, meaning they still have full defense capabilities and jb networks in a vast majority of their space. If they're stupid enough to keep all their **** in 1 system after seeing how well that worked out for BoB in PR then that's noones fault but their own.
Sov works a little bit differently now (notice, we can lose many stations in less than 24 hours, this was literally impossible under the old system).
Your point is completely valid, there's 2 different systems in place and tbh for both parties in both occasions **** is .... well it's ****ty. Your absolutely right, it only takes 8 hours to gain a system now but what your failing to acknowledge is this system works both ways, yes you can lose it in 8 hours but at the same time you can gain it back in 8 hours. Coupled with the fact that 3/4th of your space is still in tact and wasn't effected by today you'd have to agree that your in a much better position than what BoB had to go through.

This is a bug.
Actually when the director who controls the wallet doesnt log in and sort his job, its technically not a bug... its incompetence. There is a difference i think. But you keep believing its a bug if it helps you sleep tonight.

So we burned BoB out of Delve, headshotted a few alliances, did some neck-snapping when IT came back poking around 49- again a couple weeks ago... And now this.
In the end, what ends the Delve Dream isn't our enemies, or traitors, or spies, or even bugs; it's our own incompetence.
Considering this is Goonswarm, that's oddly fitting.
In case it hasn't been mentioned anywhere yet (unlikely), Goons are pulling up tents. The loss of our major staging systems means defense of this extremely expensive space is a bad idea at best (it's horrendously draining on ISK post-Dominion and the R64 nerf) and a catastrophe at worst.
IT guys reading this are probably going to spin this as some great accomplishment on their part, but don't kid yourselves; this was all us.

I hope goons die more than anyone, but BoB had enough time to form a new alliance, then prepare for the invasion with fleets and getting members in place before the massive cluster**** that was all of Eve came knocking on it's door downing hundreds of POS before they could take any stations because BoB was able to counterspam to stall.
Half of goons are logging in to play their daily dose of Eve to find it already too late to even attempt to save the stations because sov is already IT. -------

look at how bitter an angry Molle is over an internet spaceship game. It has consumed his tiny, meaningless life so much, that he's engaged to a girl he met in internet spaceships, and he spends every waking hour trying to kill goonswarm.
Hey molle, you still haven't killed us. The first time around, our culture won out and caused your old alliance to disband, then we proceeded to kill your giant space dongue, and take all your space while your alliance sat pitifully camped into an NPC station for a month.
In this case we are the victims of our own stupidity.
We keep telling everyone how bad we are at this game, but no one seems to believe us.
Maybe now they will.
And we destroyed your alliance. Twice.
What does that say about you?
