The most commonly misspelled words in EVE?

English grammar, your strong suit it is not! PS, we Yanks and Brits love ribbing each other about how our common language has diverged. It's a fun joke; no need to get your knickers in a twist mate.

I reported it to the fleet and they asked me what ship was i flying. So i typed raptur They asked me rupture or raptor? but i missed it. They asked again what i was flying and i replied again a raptur. I only saw the complete chat later and was laughing on my own

If you saw what level of education some have when they leave school over here, you'd understand. Most of them need a spell checker for any words exceeding 1 letter. There's also many who can't even do the most basic math either. I read it in my head and didn't understand it and then out loud and didn't understand it. It annoys me yes but when an American speaks he is not speaking English (as much as people say they are) they are actually speaking American. They are two separate languages they just happen to be very close and derived from the same root language. So both spellings are correct if used in there native land, its only when they cross the pond (either way) they are incorrect.

And about the whole English/American English discussion: I am pretty sure it will prove to be besides the point eventually. Although in schools outside the U.S. the original English is what is being taught and they sometimes spend a lot of time trying to stop us spelling in American. We soon forget all that and start making up a new hybrid english that is neither here nor there. Oh and if anyone could tell me how I could stop this damned text box srolling to the top all the time so I could see what Im typing I would be most greatful.

Don't take it too hard. People often translate what they say from different languages, so they don't think in english. They think it in their native language and then translate the words. For example "a lot" is a single word for me, so I propably make this mistake all the time.
