Imo Goonswarm IS just an insignificant name in Eve. Who gives a ... buck about who they were?! So, as an answer to the thread question, IT IS one of the strongest alliance in game which occupied pretty quickly vast regions of 0.0 space, while Goonswarm WERE one of the biggest alliances in Eve that failed at preserving its vast region of 0.0 space and now they no longer exist and therefore they are of no interest to this portion of forums called CAOD.

They bleated for years about how much they wanted a one one one fight vs BoB / IT and when it came they disbanded within 4 hours. There's not really much left to discuss, unless you decide to play bull**** bingo and see how many times former goons can post repeatedly to remind us just how 'chill' they are about it all and just how hard they claim to be loling. While their CEO rage disbands. While their lead FC writes threatmail to CCP about the fact he'll quit unless CCP rollback the decision. Not sure what point you're making? In fact now I think of it I can't think of any other alliance the surrendered before a war even started. Even the smallest alliances put up some kind of fight. Delve has been fought over many times. PL and NC were the primary attackers previously, then Goons paid a BoB member R/L money to disband the alliance. The most recent contest was the only time that Bob / IT went head on for Goons. Goons had all of their caps and primary fighting force located in Delve, and IT obviously had nothing there. But seeing as defending with no high-level administration present (and ultimately a CEO that claimed he was going to go ** goons anyway) would've been suicide (no one to pay), I can see why you're clinging to the idea that that's what we should've done. At least the way we did it the bulk of Joe Everygoon's personal isk wealth wasn't impacted tremendously. But hey, don't let that ** up ya argument none.
