Post one thing you wish EvE had but currently doesn't without having to depend on outside sites and tools:
For me, I wish EvE had an actual functioning stock market where you can keep track on corps and how they are doing financially. Financial pew-pew can be as much fun as the real thing.

Wishlist ? Hmm, where do I start... let's see...
* HPC, Infiniband, on-the-fly/dynamic load balancing, multi-threaded processes for single solar system or even single grid * all items in game sold on the market, INCLUDING stocks * STOREFRONTS (with friend-or-neutral-or-foe differing pricing schemes) * line-of-sight fire for turrets and AoE blasts for missiles according to individual explosion radius, for a variety of reasons * pseudo-realistic "bouncing" INCLUDING some limited collision damage * FORMATION FLIGHT (including "fly cover", "kamikaze screen" and whatnot) * total revamp of mining and the loot-drop systems * changing all NPCs to be much more Sleeper-like... or even better, changing everything including Sleepers to ACTUALLY BE LIKE PLAYER SHIPS (including module/rig fitting and fitted modules loot drop mechanics) * player-owned HIGHSEC/LOWSEC/NPC-0.0 outposts (limitation being you can't evict anybody nor deny docking, and caped docking fees with significant percentage going away to /dev/null as tax) * complete revamp of the corporation rights system, both more comprehensive, more detailed, and much broader in scope (think "pay people for starting manufacturing job of item X a sum of Y ISK per run" or "only allow member to take out items worth X ISK out of hangar Y" and so on, with some restrictions so that tight security comes at a cost)

the very first version of the Drake that was on Sisi. it had an ROF and the current shield tank bonus. with rapid launch 5 and BC5 and HML IIs it would deploy heavy missiles in a form i can only describe as a helicopter rocket strike in those films on Vietnam. except much longer lasting. first time i flew it i went into an L4 and shreaded a BS 50% faster then my raven could with torps.

Welp, looks like no one understood the OP (even teh Akita of Ts!)
He's talking about stuff you get in 3rd party applications/websites that you wish were built into EVE.
I would think that the list goes something like: -Jump planner -EVE mon skill planner tools -EFT -EVE voice with an out-of-game client -Agent search tool -2D maps -Mining/Manufacturing calculators -Stock market for corporation shares
While you can get a lot of the above via the IGB, it seems odd that EVE does not incorporate some of these tools into the client as I cannot imagine fitting a ship without EFT or planing a jump route without the Jump planner. Any new player that does not take advantage of any 3rd party tools is at a disadvantage.

Cant think of anything I would like implemented that isn't already here, or planned. I am pretty happy right now with the content in Eve. I suppose theres the usual "fix lag" stuff but that is being worked on anyway, really looking forward to Incarna and Dust 514.
Oh, would love to see a complete rebuild of the bounty system, it is way overdue as the current system has always been useless. A good idea imo for the bounty system is here, if anyone is interested. But yeah, thats it. Although like I say, I am pretty happy with how Eve is right now.

I just liked the much broader scope the title implied much more than the actual limited content hinted at by the first post  Besides, all "out of game functionality" (spreadsheets, brokerages and whatnot, at least partially) would have been self-understood as part of the "revamps" proposed.

-more visually epic turret and (especially) missle fire. Even if the damage does not represent what it looks like on screen I don't care, keep the mechanics, just make it look visually more stunning. Even the new Dominion trailer pales in the mind of the person who's seen the fight scene from Ressurection Ship, Part II. And thats hundreds of ships fighting versus two battlestars and 3 basestars.
-better firing control and the ability to target and knock specific ship subsystems offline. Like HW2. This also goes with my desire to eliminate warp scramblers in favor of knocking enemy warp drives offline as a method of tackle.

Real deepspace exploration and colonization. Meaning you could (randomly?) jump in an uncharted system (maybe with some science-oriented capital ship), deploy some basic structures (subspace communications beacon to create Local channel, iHub...) and player-made stargates. No static ressources, only belts anomalies and WH spawned by iHub upgrades.
It should be a mix of WH space (uncharted, possibility to get lost, short term colonization...) and classic 0.0 (infrastructures, sov level, extra long term colonization). -------------------------------- Fulbert. Miner - Industrialist |

If a genie popped out of a bottle and granted me one wish for EVE, I wouldn't even hesitate.
All I want out of EVE is to reduce travel time again. Get rid of Warp to Zero and add a rank 2 skill called Warp Calibration that lets you warp 2km closer to a gate per level trained. Remove Jump Bridges from the game entirely OR make them highly fuel inefficient so that alliances will only use them during emergencies. Remove jump freighter ability to use jump drives anywhere, and restrict them to 0.0 use only.
Make moving people and equipment an important part of the game again, where people who don't have the time or inclination will pay people for their freighter services.
The game had so much more of an vast and expansive feeling when travel was more difficult... it also made the game more tense and edgy because getting out of 0.0 with a crapload of good ore/items was an actual risk instead of 3 jump bridges and a jump freighter away from complete safety.

People talked about this a lot when wtz first came out. Assuming instas still won't exist, all this will do is create a timesink for most players. That is to say, such a skill would be mandatory to train unless you wanna get ganked constantly.
My two biggest wishes:
1) Bring back the oldschool nanophoon  2) Fix lowsec (pretty obvious).

On a similar vein to making travel time longer to make the universe feel larger, I'd make each individual solar system more significant.
I'd put as many stations and asteroid belts in one solar system as are currently in a whole constellation. Some would be orbiting planets and moons, but there would also be way-stations in the middle of deep space. You would never even need to leave the solar system because the market hub would be on the station orbiting the third planet there rather than 23 solar systems away at Jita.
With all this activity in a single system, 0.0 would feel eerily empty until the massive starships not allowed in high-security space cyno right on top of you.

* Hiring pirate/faction agents to player build outposts. * Some kind of icons or so, showing where enemy is heading in fight when you have camera set away from ship. * targetingand disabling enemy subsystems * remove gates, give all ships jump drives (subcapitals jumping only to neighbour system, capitals as they are now), remove cyno requirement to jump.

Wish list for next two expansions:
1. Incarna
2. Rewamp to asteroid ( design feel and looks really bad compared to planets now ) / mining / industry ( more fun more involving )
3. Comets as random movable celestial objects that block directional scanners depanding how far you are small medium big huge , mining them as well.
4. T3 frigates .
5. Interface update ( info windows cleaner better looking etc ) .
6. Planetary interaction when DUST 514 comes.

missions-on missions where u are to intercept a convoy- dont have the npc just floating around stupidly bumpinto each other, have them in a actual convoy- a formation or something
npc- have a hub up display that show npc chat, smack talk or improve on the local hub- better ai for npc's
ships- individualize the moduale display for all ships so each ship hub is different
missions- on important missions have epic cenimatic camrea angles that show ur ships and enemy ships up close before u start lockin each other down
ships- bein able to walk inside ships, also dockin with other ships, also an out of ship type of experience where u say actually salvage by hand to get better stuff- u can still do regular salvage but its not as rewarding- all ships can be configured for walkin and pod useage -walkin takes extraa trainin
space- setin up ur own little hideout in space sort of like pos, or a station, just a little something to call ur own liviing hangout space- besides in stations, or on certian ships -can be attacked in war
stargates- can be ran by different corps for corp member bounuses but cant be attacked. walk in stargates
npc- npc help in missions or esscorts etc, workin along side npc characters- ever so often npcs would attack stations in high sec the stations can be defended by players and npcs and players get special rewards for doin so say 1 hour of train a skill etc- this would be broadcasted in local
trade-putin to use trade goods so there is a real need for them by all players ex need for food, drink, slaves, millitants, dancers, blocks, ketcup, - recyclein waste
economy-incorperating all the needs of say a city into the game in stations like and actual need for doctors, lawyers etc
advertisment-more advertisement boards, bigger ones, even players can advertise on them, produce them to sell them- the ability to start ur own buisness like u create ur own corp
bounty hunting- improveing the bounty hunting system to where u can actualy capture a player and turn him in and he has to sit in an acttual jail for a few hours and loses an implant- also a system that shows stats on who caught who, so u got a bounty hunter rankin
docking with other ships istead of dropin a cargo container to trade items in space or orca style for battlecruiser and up item swap
ability to get tech 3 or 4 items for regular ships ex raven ,armagedon, condor- to be able to make walkin in ships configurations, mainly for mineinships industrials, and the option wold be available to all ships
lag from to many ppl in a solorsystem- have a few constalations on diffrent servers, and when u use a stargate to get to a differnt server have an epic warp cutscene
an alt detection device requires advance science and leadership skills
exploration class ship that can fit hacking. salvager, tractorbeams, and still put out decent dps
salvageing drones
dockin in motherships and walkin around
endgame mothership that can warp jump by itself
sp dropin boss battles
dam this game would rock even more thanku ccp for such a great game!

1. Replace targeting with FPS style aiming and joystick support. 2. Remove jump gates and replace with a "calculate parameters for jumpdrive" system that will suicide you if you calculate yourself into a planet or other structure. 3. Get rid of warp drive. You want to escape, fly faster than the other guy. You want to get to the station or next system faster, see point 2.

I wish there was compatibility for programs you could add on to the game, programs made by players and used in game thus being a way to satisfy all needs without devoting millions of delevoper hours on random issues.

A 3rd API key that you can disable specific pulls on. Non static belts only. More Aura voices (esp "Duct tape failing" when in hull in Minnie ships). Ability to jump to objects from a gate rather than only a choke pointgate in another system. Medium graphics setting so I can play on my Linux box (again). Separate volume setting for station noises (The chanting is driving me insane - even OUTSIDE the station).

I want ships with a coherent shape.
I think the ships in Eve have no logic. Each machine should have physic characteristics explained by it's function. Ships should be made to enter stations. Combat ships should be stocky Industrial ship, cargo should be made of containers. ****pit, or Piloting Tower should be placed to have a good view on all the ship...
And I want new animations in space and visuals for the fits.

- DDs becoming AoE again but only in a straight line in front of them, with destructive power decreasing as they deal damage to ships and also decreasing depending on the target's distance from the source.
- Sound (no really, I mean actual sound instead of the noises we have right now) and much more Aura in my EVE.
- Cynos and all the other cool effects back.
- A new UI, not really a redesign of the current one (though that would help too) but one that didn't cause so many performance issues. I mean... things like disabling brackets to boost fleet fight perfomance. Really?
- Etc. Etc. will add later when I'm not supposed to be working.  |

Having the devs go back to the beginning and rethinking all the core design decisions that are now old, decided at a different time, and are becoming no longer fit for purpose... rather than trying to bolt more and more onto ageing core designs. It's been almost 10 years, and the technical knowledge, hardware specification, player numbers, cash flow are all so much higher...
so:
the excel in space interface, general lack of userability in interface design etc. corp roles and organisation static system sec levels, links of system sec and mineral worth (ie unlink them like the nulsec upgrades, but everywhere) missions, agents and npc stations T1 industry model mining 'game' model npc made goods
basically, make it so everything is as adaptive and changeable as possible, the players impact the environment of the game more through their actions in high/low sec, and change the concepts of balancing and design from "x is better than y" to "x is different from y" for balancing various element like module meta levels, ship class roles and tech levels, agent levels etc.
A big push on the descriptive player tools and tools for emergent gameplay they keep gibbering on about .
If i had to pick one... the interface, just redo the whole thing with someone who actually understands HCI leading the project ... then the revamp of the old stuff... |

1. remake entire UI and focus more on user friendliness.
2. rework all npc and missions to be harder/smarter but fewer.
3. make battlefield more interesting. 2 gates/stations/whatever on the same grid or something like that.

New corporation recruitement forum system :
Where : In recruitement forum and ingame recruitement channel
What and when : Each time a recruiter post, it give info :
1- number of members in corporation 2- tax rate 3- headquater, or operating region 4- number of members currently online.
It would look like this :
Hamsters Inc / 10 % / 100 members/ dodixie/ 15 online members.

For me, I wish EvE had an actual functioning stock market where you can keep track on corps and how they are doing financially. Financial pew-pew can be as much fun as the real thing.
i'd love to see this part of eve expanded too but i fear we might be in the minority.

Dessies and refitting of other non used ships into salvagers is great and all.. but we could really use a dedicated ship whose sole function is to clean up after we make a giant mess of missions/fleet battles/etc
Here's what myself and some of the people in CP had come up with..
1) shuttle thin shielding/armor/structure (so someone in one of these caught ninja looting a mission room doesn't get very far) 2) an EMP AoE style universal tractor beam.. basically drawing every wreck in range to the boat to get salvaged 3) 8 high slots for salvagers, the AoE tractor can be a mid slot.. 3a) in lieu of the 8 high slot fit, a single high slot for the AoE tractor, and a salvage bay that would process the incoming wrecks while it loots the wreck at the same time into the large indy sized cargo bay.
this would be kind of like a tech 1.5 ship.. with a capsuleer needing to get another ship skill to fly it. t2 versions of it could be a strip miner,an explorer (AoE scanning), etc.
just a thought of course..
Edit: more things I thought of....
* giving large enough corps the ability to design and build their own ships including base shield/armor resists, and other special abilities and bonuses. How specialized they make the designs and the bonuses they include would determine the skills needed to fly it.
