i see what your saying but having a crok roid with 25k crok in it that respawns avery day and a group that can mine it clean. thats a lot of crok.. i really hope that this is a bug. i can under stand a 6k crok roid but 25k!!

High-end ore (i've seen everything except arkonor) in empire is nothing new. It has been there since beginning... but at least we've been quiet about it:P

Yall 'pvp is about risk' guys have a lot to learn about people. Most people I talk to that want to fight but dont, dont do it because of the costs. Its *not* about risk, its not about values of stuff, its about having a good time fragging people--at least it should be. Pvp combat in this game has a rather nasty stigma, and its that I-cant-recover-if-I-die part that turns soo many people off. See, youre assuming that people who fight only do it because they have to...most people who fight do it because they want to, make everything cheaper and youll encourage more people to go out and have a fun night blowing up people and being blowed up.
Ultimately it comes down to whether or not CCP wants an open-combat situation where people fight all the time and have fun doing it, or a situation where someone works 6 months for their BS and never take it out of dock for fear of losing it. One sounds like a great time, other sounds like a recipe for lots of mainstream gamers to get real sick of it and quit. _________________ [SAK] And Proud Of It! aka Cpt Bogus Is that my torped sig cloaking your base? |

Looks like the whinging carebears have got their way. If you can get megacyte and zydrine in Empire, there's no reason for the carebears to go to low sec or 0.0 to take the risk in order to get the big rewards (since they already get the BS rats in Empire too).
Time for Eve to become consentual pvp only?
25k of crokite in one roid!?!?! That's as much as you'd see in a whole asteroid field in 0.0 with dangerous rats guarding it, and you can be damn sure it wouldn't respawn the whole 25k over downtime!

Fragging people? Sounds like you really want to play HL2 or a game like that. "Oh no, just lost my Raven. Want me to bring out one of my Megathrons this time, or will I try a Raven again? How about you stand there and I'll time how long it takes me to kill you, sure I'll give you another battleship when you're dead." Is this the kind of ideal you'd like to see?
This game is (or was) based around risk vs reward. What value is there on a BS if you can take it out, get it blown up, then just pick up a new one right away at almost no cost? Why would anyone bother flying anything but battleships in pvp and why would anyone really care if they lost a ship, since you could never really inflict any loss on someone since they basically just respawn with a brand new battleship?
No-one forces you to fight (since you're in a newbie corp). You make the decision yourself to expose yourself to the danger by going into low sec or 0.0 systems. Otherwise you are always going to be protected by Concord, since no-one can ever declare war on you.

if and when ship prices drop due to zydrine being in empire (unless its just a bug and is removed) loosing a bs will hurt less than it already does, there in no fun in fighting if their is no risk involved.

I beg to differ, people will be able to afford more ships and when they feel secure there they'll invest in stations and then you have to fight.

dude don't think that stations will cost a bunch it will be the same cheap and easy to replace. only thing that is going to cost is what is needed to run them the base mins and the high ends (zydrine) will be cheaper then ever befor

Me personally I'd rather fight someone in empire space than someone saying dude and lol avery time they have something to say.
Zydrines time as the most valued commodity has come and gone, the market evolves, roll with it or get rolled over.
