you've just proven the point of this thread lol
No he hasn't. Those of you asking for single corps to pay millions a week are the deluded ones. This was all brought up months ago and this is the designed outcome. Note the use of designed - ie intentional; not accidental; not a bug; etc etc

It is of no suprise to me that this thread was started by an FA member. You guys r never happy. U sit in a region that has NPC spawns coming out of its a*se and more high end minerals than u can poke a stick at and yet u still find things to complain about.
I am assuming that this thread was inspired by the LMM and FA war. We r only a small corp with limited funds and I fail to see the logic in making us pay 1 mill per FA corp. That would mean that no one other than the richest solo corps or other alliances would be able to war dec on u. U want the positives associated with being in a big alliance and yet u r not willing to accept the negatives. U cant always have things on your own terms.
It has been made more difficult for a corp like LMM to fight FA in FA space with the addition of system scanners and the soon to be added limited view of pilots in space because of the sheer number of pilots we r up against. The way I see it is the playing field has been levelled. Prehaps the big alliances will think twice about screwing over the liitle corps as the repercussions r now very high.
I for one am pleased with war changes. I havent had this much fun in empire in a long time.

People obviously haven't been reading the news. Alliances are going to be treated like "nation states"? That means you join an alliance and you don't live in Empire anymore. No more "Empire Corps in an alliance" - you are one or the other now. If you choose to live in Empire then being in an alliance will be damaging for your health
Did none of you even stop to wonder WHY the expansion is called Exodus?

Agree with Agrizla - though I haven't contemplated this in detail as it doesn't concern me very much the rules you describe seems consistent with that the devs have stated repeatedly - their aim is to make alliances control less space but control it more efficiently (i.e. the statement that it should be "very difficult" for an alliance to claim even one whole region much less the multiple around today). So it should be much harder for independents to come around messing in your backyard while it of course also should be harder for you to mess with others outside of your backyard. Of course right now that development is kinda messed up since you can't build factories and labs in pos yet so you're still dependent on empire space. ------------------------- "Real Men Hull Tank" CCP Hammer |

Something does need to be changed, but it shouldn't be based on the number of corps in an alliance.
People should be inhabiting 0.0, yes - but a PA guy isn't going to go all the way into fountain for a ship I build. I still need the ability to go to empire and do business.
Maybe the multiplier should be 2 * how many wars the alliance has.
So realistically the alliance could have a few wars, but it starts to get expensive as it goes on.

Why do you get to have everything just by having more numbers?
You have best ore you keep little guys out so they cant profit from it. You make enough money that losing ships should be absolutely of no meaning to your alliance. The only thing in this game that could even begin to hurt your alliance is losing a tech 2 bpo.
Fact is you are greedy people, you want everything for nothing. You want to treat people as you like and have no consequences cause you can blob beyond what the servers can handle. This must end.
If you dont like losing ships in empire GET OUT. You are a nation act like one get your people into your space.
Oh but theres no agents there buhu people if you care about it that much get the hell out of the alliance. You want super safe empire content and you want super safe 0.0 content. Guess what no one should get to have that because they have more people grouped together.
Little corp not in alliance gets to have his safe empire content but gets killed in alliance space. For you its the opposite. Any sane person would still rather be in your shoes.
Why should the system support so much those who are individualy weak?

I didn't say I was weak...
I've been in F-E and CA, I've had a reasonable share of PvP fighting, and skills to back it up.
I'm not saying people shouldn't be able to declare war on an alliance, it should just cost a lot, considering it's a lot of corps, or there should be a limit to how many can, or something.

you know, what if you just got a beef with one guy in a corp. say he riped you of or insulted your caldari honer as a rp'er or amarrian rp'er. why dose i guy have too even declar war on the hole corp just too get at that one guy.
i would like too see a vendetta way off doing things, like just being able too go after one player rather then bother the hole corp over it that he might be in.
i mean the cost should be high for this, say 10mil or more per week so it dont get over done by jerks that just wont too give a guy a hard time.
that way players that rip off corps or other players cant go noob corp and live scott free in above 0.4 space. a man or lady can have his Vendetta, one on one. that way i think players would think twice befor being a ass too others, or just riping people of and laffing about it, or ganking peoples pods at gates for no reason other then there own sence of fun. pay back for ones actions in the game should be a *****.

Folks quit the whining. The system is fine the way it is. Your big bad alliances with hundreds of members should be able to protect it's own if not then leave the alliance.
"Come on God. Answer me. For years I am asking you why. Why are the innocent dead and the guilty alive? Where is justice? Where is punishment? Or have you already answered? Have you already said to the world, here is justice, here is punishment, here..............in me"

Agreed with the current system. Its fine as it is. If Alliances have such a problem with being generally wardecced in empire by their enemies then they probably shouldn't be claiming such vast swathes of 0.0 and alienating all and sundry. And as mentioned by some people earlier. What are they doing in empire anyway? Shouldn't they be tending to their domains in the rich bistot fields or something?
I think this ability for lone corps to wardec entire alliances is fantastic. It really will sort the men from the boys in Alliance pretentions and if corps can't survive being hunted in empire by lone adversaries then it really does make one wonder how on earth they justify all the superior-than-thou press releases and territorial claims and such.
Hopefully we will get to see future where Alliances actually start trying to clean up their act and become something more than large scale gate camping teams if they want to be treated any better than their past victims have been in 0.0.

Point is that the sheer ease of empire wars makes it hard for me to do any trading business or anything of the sort in empire.
You people act like there are only two things to do in this game - fight and get rich. If that were the case, then yes, the current system is fine. I could go fight and mine ark all day and enjoy myself.
The fact is, my favorite thing to do in the game is do business. I build things, and do business. I enjoy it. And it's also true that I have an alliance to back my doings with resources. Good business is done by large organizations, and I can't do my business if I have a bunch of punks, who have no personal beef against or my colleagues, blowing up my colleagues.
I've never even heard of revolution before, I never got a declaration of war evemail from them or anything, and they blew up one of my suppliers. The fact is that there is a lot of business that must be done in empire, and since it's too easy to declare war on 2000 people at a time, they're interfering with my business.

Interesting how the ones saying it is fine as it is, are the ones not in alliances. Of course to you, it is fine as it is, it means you get to shoot lots of people for peanuts isk, so you have no problem with this.
Im not even in one of these uber rich ark owning 0.0 alliances. But I do see a problem with the way it currently works. The cost of war was brought in to prevent alt war decs and anyone and their monkeys declaring on corps or in this case alliances. Now you can pay 1 mill a week and turn half of eve orange. Sure, that has a lot of opportunities and sounds like a lotta fun.
The big problem you got there is game mechanics force everyone to rely on the empire, you need agent runners, and you need ice miners as all alliances are forced to have empire operators. If it were the case they could put a fence up in their nice ark rich systems and say we dont give two hoots about the empire, that would be fine, but they cant.
Simply because alliances were the first to get clued in on the strength in numbers principle in territory does not give you the right to attack them anywhere and everywhere simply because of that, or some crap reason that because they are going to be officially recognised we can head on down to yulai and hit their empire ops because Concord for some reason decides they can look after themselves (or rather you do).
The only thing this current system will do is force alliances to leave or split up their operations away from the official alliance. Then what is left in the alliance is just the true 0.0 element who having lived in 0.0 know its a free for all anyway and live with being shot at by anyone.
I wonder to the 0.0 alliances, if having your own flag on the eve map is really of that much benefit to their gameplay?
So far my my PoV, I am yet to see any real such advantage other than this mysterious 'official recognition' but mechanics like the cheapness of corp to alliance war is a real gameplay affecting disadvantage as opposed to some conceptial gain from recognition.
Oh one other thing, the cost of war was brought in to help prevent alt war decs, but tbh the price of 1 mill a week is much too low. Its only a small money sink atm worthy of one players attention for an hour a week in your corp. I think it should be a much higher cost to act as an effective deterant to all but serious wars.
