for about one year I did missioning only. I then joined a wormhole corp, got a taste for pvp and eve has only gotten more fun since that. Could not stress enough how important pvp is to your overall eve experience |

If you want to try something new, try RedVBlue (rvbeve.com).
Even though I just joined I can honestly say it is THE most fun I have had in my time in EVE, and I've done the whole 0.0 alliance borecamp/blob.
It's drama free and the FC's are first rate at organising even and hugely entertaining fights. |

another thing i like to say about pvp in general is there is no point to pvp except for the sake of pvp. The kind of pvp that i am interested in is real battles where your whole alliance can take over stations or defending your stations from attackers. Those really interest me.
Get out of hisec now. This sov warfare you are talking about, so find a sov holding nullsec alliance to join. At this point, you can't claim you need better skillpoints, since you can be useful if all you can fly is a noobship with a point on it.
Which alliance/corp you choose is really up to you, but some thing you would want to look at are: ship replacement/reimbursement (do they do it, and to what extent), do they actively fight for sov ( hi AAA), joining requirements ( please don't try getting into goons without an SA account), what timezone are they (being US and flying with russians could make for alot of bad timers), and overall character (if you hate goons, pretty much every cfc alliance is out.)
I would recommend looking at cfc corps, 99% corps in particular but its up to you and where you feel you will fit in the best. |

Get out of highsec. Highsec is a cesspool for whiners and themepark players. Move to 0.0 and write your own story. Got my Dust514 key... |

How can you be bored if you never tried PvP? Seriously, until you've done that, you can't say you are bored. If Eve has one thing right, it's the PvP mechanics. Go blow up some ships, yours or theirs. It is far from boring, at least in the beginning. A good predator knows how to live in balance with his prey, lest he follow them into oblivion. |

My advice is simple: Go to the corp recruitment forum, and find a corporation that seems chill. All corps need good, active members; they are an asset you cannot put a price on.
Even if youre not any good at anything right now, you can always learn. If you show up in fleets, as long as you arent actively hindering the gang youll be just fine. If you can fly a logi, then you will most likely be accepted into many corps.
What to look for in a corp to make sure its good? usually 50-100 people, hopefully in your case already situated in 0.0 somewhere. People who play in the same tz as you. Mind, when you pvp assume the ship you are flying is already dead; if you can just see how many killmails you can get, or ships you can save, before it happens, then you have the right mindset.

Tbh there is no point in even remotely trying to help the OP.
People like the OP are the reason most of eve still fits 3 overdrives and 2 polycarbons with a sebo to there ceptors, because they have no free thinking and constantly need to be told what to aim for, where to go and what to do. Like right now hes asking us what he can do and saying there is no PvP. There is plenty to do PvE wise besides missions and mining, scan lowsec/nullsec plexes and go run them, feel the pleasure of knowing if you are not careful you die. PvP is everywhere, its not hard to find.
Just unsub, you are a lost, useless and risk adverse carebear that will never change. Everytime you dont like my comments/posts the terrorists win and your a disgrace to your country. |

It really irks me when people lump all of Nul-sec together. There is major differences in SOV-nul and NPC-nul. Much less blobbing gets done in NPC nul. The biggest fleet I have seen in NPC nul in the last 6months has been like 40, and that was a rarity. Most fleets are under 20 people, many fleets have no logi, and there are tons of 1-6 man gangs running around. NPC-nul is hardly a borecamp blobfest. NPC nul is also my favorite place to solo PvP. Low-sec is cool too but you got to be very careful of gate guns, and I don't like letting the enemy take the first shot. Solo PvP often times involves a lot of gatecrashing to split enemy gangs, so many of your fights happen near the gate. |

You're first step though: Leave Hi-sec i always wanted to leave but what is there to do in low sec besides getting kill or killing people? i dont think doing l4 in lowsec is a good idea.
Actually there are lots of things to do. You can do exploration, low sec missions (yes it's riskier) or FW. You could also go to WH's which is a very unique experience in itself as well. And if you like safety you can go to sov 0.0 where you can rat as much as you wish. -Death is nothing, but to live defeated and inglorious is to die daily. |

Mostly accurate, but sov 0.0's safety varies heavily based on the political climate and time of day.
it can go from safe haven to hell on earth on a dime. TEST Alliance BEST Alliance |

Get out and see the world. Do something risky, like grief in high sec. Be a scumbag and camp a lowsec gate! Or prove your balls of steel in nullsec with a legion of comrades!

Go out on your own and look for pvp. I was in the same boat you were, always thinking that I had to be in a gang to go pvp, but you don't. |
