Holy shamoly.
If CCP seriously expect alot of people to join from incarna, I expect they will seriously flesh out the station experience or offer plenty of lighter things to do in eve, simply to keep them around. Love it or hate it, Eve will become THE sci fi mmorpg for all aspects of sci fi.

I think that's pretty much their plan.
A lot of changes they've made over the last year or so make a lot more sense if you imagine a playerbase 2-3x what we have now.

PhysX is not just restricted to NVIDIA cards. I know ATI can use it.
wrong
to run PhysX properly on an ATI system you need an NV card (8 series with 32 cores and up, and a free 16x pci-e slot), and a "hack" to unlock the possibility of running it, since most NV drivers lock PhysX if you have a non-NV gpu on system.
You can still get around it by using older drivers for now, until it's required to use 186+

Pretty much this. It's impossible to believe they turned high ends from a scare to a near infinite resource just to kill off eve. CCP must have a plan for all this, right? I mean they can't be so ******ed as to cut down t1 insurance while there's a tremendous mineral oversupply without a very good reason, right?
You people just think about it. I'm already convinced... or maybe it's all blind hope. **** it, CCP hasn't really failed me yet.

Note that I didn't say I think they'll get that many. Just that they are making plans based on that number.

My wife said she will play the game if she can be a exotic dancer/prostitute working a station, 1,000,000.00 isk per song for a lap dance. She will negotiate a price to give you more then a dance if you so desire.
"What are we going to do tonight Brain?" asked Pinky.
"Tonight, we are going to take over the universe!" replied The Brain. |

---BACK ON TOPIC--- Yeah. Incarna will create a massive boost to the capsuleer pool for sure. The question is, will they stay? Depends on how far they intend to take these idea's. There are infinite possibilities. Can we have an M rated or AO rated EVE ONLINE please? ^^;

If Eve becomes some second-lifish sadatack of fake people having fake sex I for one will quit, and a lot of other people probably will too. I don't want to be associated with something gross and embarrassing. Most players of this game are adults, with real personal lives, and I doubt many players of this game want to explain to friends or loved ones why they spend time on "that sex game the new york times wrote an article about."
So, yeah, really hoping CCP don't plan to take this in that direction at all.

Considering your Corps name your post is packed with irony
The US market will ensure we won't even get to see nipples as they will freak out. It's not good old fashioned violence which is allowed so I wouldn't worry too much.

So, if CCP ever get round to making human avatars then hurray we can all walk about in station and feel more immersed. Great. How is this going to make the community go "boom"?
I remember that first time I played EVE and found out I didn't have a human avatar. I was a bit disappointed but it didnt stop me playing.
I think "Boom" in this case is an explosion by influx of players.....like a Boom town during the US gold rush....small town strike gold, then EVERYONE and their mother moved in hoping to get a piece of the gold pie.
So I think incarna will cause a "Boom" of players to come pouring into eve....if anything to check it out. One of the reasons I didn't get EVE back in '03 was the whole problem getting my head wrapped around the idea that i WAS my ship and didn't have an in-game representation of myself. So we'll definatly get alot of thoese kind of people that held off for that reason....once they learn of it. -------------- (Insert whatever you want here) |

The skimpier the dress, the more minerals it will take to make it. Should take care of the oversupply overnight.

It all depends on the clothing. Certain bras are more firm than others. Sports bras for instance. Some are more "loose". If there's no bra at all, yeah, they bounce. And it's uncomfy.

i think more wormhole space 00 factinal warfare and more 00 low sec and high sec iwll be required perhaps another faction to Signature - CCP what this game needs is more variance in PVE aspects and a little bit less PVP focus, more content more varied level 1-4 missions more than just 10 per faction high sec low sec and 00 |

It'll be very interesting, but if they don't like the core game play that is Eve then I doubt you can get a hardcore carebear to stay for long.

You know that this is prolly just something they will use later for their WOD MMOG....because that has no spaceships but 'Vampires'
Anyway, I doubt we will see that much in Incarna, at least I hope so because my PC wouldn't survive that ^^

"Incarna its gonna get EVE more bigger than I (or we) thought"
Its a matter of sentence structure.
"Incarna, it's going to make EVE larger than we (or I) thought..."
I understood what you meant. I believe that most other people did as well. The "grammar police" comment was used as a joke, because many people cannot seem to believe that English (American or British) isn't everyone's *first* language, and so mistakes are pointed out by all the retired English teachers....
Personally, I don't spend enough time in stations to give a flying rats derriere on any of the avatar fixes. It bugs me that CCP isn't spending more resources on, say... a functional UI? Bugfixes? meh, I'm grumpy today...

I'm hoping Incarna has forced CCP to rethink the whole UI. I can't imagine it working with the current method. I'm also hoping they have not made Incarna design decisions based on the current UI, that would wreck any chances of new players finding it attractive for long. If you need a drop down menu to move or interact your character it's going to be a disaster in my opinion.
