I'm late to the party, but I'll throw my two cents in about Siigari as I hate being left out of the fun.
I had spoken to Siigari multiple times since January about paying some friends of mine back since he was late on repaying loans they made to him in December. He claimed to have put 500+ Billion ISK into Technetium on speculation, then lost most of it when it crashed. Despite the numbers showing that this would be impossible in more ways than one, I didn't press the issue while he continually claimed that he was unable to pay folks back yet. He has been prone to exaggerate, as most people know. I finally got tired of his childishness and confronted him, though sadly all he could do was to give me a real life sob story about how he had no time to liquidate and pay people despite posting on the forums every day. He was also "hurt" at my betrayal by not trusting him. How cute =D
For someone who has put so much energy into the social aspect of the game via forum whoring, websites, and just plain socializing, this is pretty sad. Siigari has done a good job at ****ing over pretty much anyone who ever trusted him. Actions speak louder than words. And his actions have shown him to be incompetent, if not untrustworthy and unreliable.
At least you got an EVE Tribune article about how sad you are. Well done =D
The worst part is that this is the second such person to have screwed over multiple friends of mine this year. But such is EVE.

Um, I dunno. I've been refining my position a bit and tbh your post doesn't add up in some ways:
- According to Corp Mail and the AT8 Interview video (hosted on Youtube), Siigari hasn't had a job in a quite while (corp mail/publicly stated at PDX get together) and just now started working at Best Buy (AT8 video). There's simply no way he could have afforded the number of GTCs he's accused of having bought.
- Siigari fits, flies, and loses way way too much ISK to have all come from the GTCs we know about. Additionally, the timing on the GTC sale and the amount that it was is very suspicious. I tried to hint strongly at this in my first fight with Intigo, but: If Siigari in fact kept all the ISK from that GTC sale, I have an extremely extremely strong suspicion that it all went to buying a pilot+Nyx.
- Siigari is accused of this behavior going back years - it doesn't appear to have been a "recent" borrowing/scamming of ISK.
- Siigari, at the first PDX meeting, said he approached several people in the Gallente FW about funding his buying of a Titan (for use in FW). Seeing as how Siigari can't (IMO) have bought all those GTCs himself, this is the most likely answer for how he got so many GTCs.
I guess this will be my final advice to Siigari (I believe he is still reading this thread):
- If you in fact asked for the loans in good faith, pay them back. They were your corpmates, and more importantly they were your friends. They have every right to be upset with you - even though I feel the situation could have been approached better from all sides.
- If you in fact meant to scam the **** out of everyone you called friend: Congrats on a pretty ****ing impressive haul. You should consider joining the Guiding Hand Social Club.
- If you really GTC'ed (either yourself or having scammed a bunch of people into sending them to you) that much... get some professional help before you destroy your life and your girlfriend's life with compulsive manipulation and lying.
- Stop playing expensive games, and find less expensive habits. Free to Play MMOs and MTG are amongst the most expensive legal habits you can possibly have. They will wreck your life as surely as a ******* addiction.

Well, aside from doing in RL the very same thing he does in game: asking RL friends / family / whatnots for "loans" he doesn't pay back except with some sob story or another regarding his unemployed situation.

I'm sure Sig has several outstanding debts probably well into the tens of billions. On occasion he'd approach me or other people in Talon asking for isk. Sig is an idiot. We jump through, gate camp from a totally different entity. Dunno how, but this guy managed to get our gang split down the middle in two different systems fighting two different alliances.
Sig is a leech. He's so needy. He didn't pay for hosting for his ventrilo and it was shut off so he bums off my server, which is fine I suppose, I'm not using all the slots. He expects someone to cyno into a system w/ hostiles in a titan so they can bridge him out of system so he can evac his pos fuel. This guy EXPECTS someone to risk 80b+ isk so he can save maybe 50m.
Sig is a back-stabber. It's funny people talking about betrayal here. Especially when you propose to your corp to hop alliances to the other side. That's why you were kicked from Talon. What's funny is people defected from your corp when you proposed this.
From my experience and dealings with Sig, I can say he's not a pleasant person to deal with. The man is one of the most egotistical people you'll meet and he's not really that good at anything so he can't really justify it. From my observation the man abuses and uses those he surrounds himself with. The people who have disassociated themselves are the ones who have had enough.

Lots of harsh criticism about Siig. He does have his strengths, he's not afraid to fight, he is active and he does love yelling at the right time on coms. His weaknesses though can greatly diminish his ability to hold people. What Rewt said about my titan was true. I was also asked for a substantial amount of isk to buy a titan. Instead of giving it away, I offered him to get it within a month for 4 hours a day of gameplay.
He did try to lure me into XT- with my titan to bridge a ship there and back. I simply said that 80+BN is not a good risk for a mere pos. Especially when there were hostiles in a jammed system. I also hold him that it would be better to use a viator. When he hee'd and haw'd about not having time, I had to make it clear that ultimately, he is responsible for his assets, and risking billions for the sake of a few hundred M does not make sense.
I do not know about any dealings about isk or GTC's. I've never loaned him isk, nor bought or sold GTC's. I can say that I pay for eve by the year with PLEX for my accounts, but I don't keep track of what alts are doing in that respect, so I can't comment on those things.
As for ship losses, yes they are hard. I don't know how he makes his money, but if it's borrowed on credit, then his line is nearing it's completion.
When he sent out a corpmail about joining rooks and kings, shortly after trying to lure my Avatar to 0.0 space, things suddenly made sense and Aduro was removed from Alliance by myself. His defectors formed a new corp and remain friends to those in placid to this day.
All in all, people ARE more important than isk. However some people never learned this lesson in grade school.

Your character was created on 9th september 2007 , but your knowledge of the game seems to be less then the average player just finishing their trial period .

Yes, you're right--and it is still the fault of the person who said "buy gtc for isk" in the first place. Nonetheless, within the context, it's clear what is meant, and in that context, both "buy gtc for isk" and "sell gtc for isk" mean the same thing.
The fact that our friend did not see this is testament to his inability to analyze and comprehend forum posts, and I will not spare him any niceties because of this.
