Also posting here isn't going to stop him from scamming, considering that he is a known scammer on every major trade channel and in Jita which is where he hangs out, at least that's where he was last time I saw him, yet he still scams people successfully. Also, the people that read the C&P forums are the same people that would not get ripped off by most of the scams anyway.

A PLEX is an in-game item that is bound by the same rules as all other in-game items. If you get scammed then you should have been more careful. If you fear being scammed and do not take the most simple precautions then you should stick to either paying for your game-time with cash or use the timecode bazaar forum which deals in 60 day GTC's and it is against the EULA to scam with them I believe. Also your use of the term of 'monkey see monkey do' is not really fitting in this thread, everyone has their own opinion and just because many people have pretty much same opinion does not mean there is any mimicry without any knowledge on it.

I did get scammed and i was pretty steamed about it, i only made a topic to warn, everything afterwoulds was to see how far i could take this argument, and you exceeded my expectations, quite enteratining. Don't get me wrong i was serius about what i was posting, but i was posting it for fun, i enjoy arugments so thank you, really entertaining.

The rationale for allowing it has always been that real-life scamming occurs too. Why, yes; but in real life there are real consequences and legal remedies. In EVE, however, it's a free-for-all scam fest. Rather huge difference. Also, I'm not very fond the way people generally react to a mistake someone makes. Foul up once, and everyone jumps on you, almost tripping over themselves with glee, a mite too eager to show that they, themselves, would never be that stupid. While this typical grandstanding is somewhat annoying, it's also entirely predictable. The latter, for the most part, really. because underneath all the harsh words, those people are not entirely wrong. There's no good reason to get scammed the way you were. Someone dangles a couple of billion ISK in front of you, in exchange for a few PLEX-es, next time you simply say: "Sure. I'll draw up a contract, and you can collect on it at your leasure at my station." If, at that point, they suddenly insist on you opening up a trade window with them, right now and there, then, well, that ought to raise some serious big-arse red flags with you. Often, however (not saying that was the case here), people are simply too eager to accept, thinking they're getting the deal of a lifetime, and that thay need to take the offer rightaway, even when it isn't offered in a safe way. That's the scam. :) In a way those folks fall prey to their own greed (think about it for a moment; it's true). So, how to proceed? Well, you're humped on this one, regret to say. No need to get angry about it at people here, though. You could have prevented this scam, easily. It wasn't that you had to travel to a distant galaxy on a transport contract, only to find out you had no docking rights or some such. Instead, you just blindly trusted a guy to give you several bil ISK, not following the safe contract route EVE offers you. That stings; for sure. But something tells me you won't make the same mistake twice. -- Gorgeous, delicious, deculture!

I mean come on, even scammers should have some principles to not be a an utter douche and sink to the lowest and steal what is effecitvley cash. and one last thing, whilst it was all a troll it was all 100% true, thats why it was so funny;; you all were replying with how stupid/******ed i was and trying to poke holes in what i was saying and i was replying (to troll) with what i felt was the truth. AS i already said if you hadn't been so quick to proclaim how stupid/retarted/etc i was i wouldn't have trolled, still it was fun, but now this is boring so i think ill leave it at that. EDIT: @Ranka Mei: thank you for replying with a reply that one would expect, instead of the "lol your stupid, i don't feal sorry for you Duhhhhh" kind of reply,

Not too long ago you could still transport PLEX in your cargohold. Until CCP put a stop to that. Why? Becasuse people got ganked a bit too much with those pretties onboard. Granted, that was probably not the most graceful attempt at recovery on his part. Like a ship you already know to be lost, 'twere perhaps better if he had just warped off (with that much DPS on you, that's usually the most sensible thing to do anyway).
