If the much favored logoffski goes the way of off-grid safespots, afk cloaking must eventually be dealt the deadblow too. Imagine, having to actually play eve instead of going cloaking up in space for up to 23 hours a day and not having to worry about dying. Yes, this is hard to believe but true that certain players just activate their cloak, point off into the distance and go about their normal daily affairs while real pvpers desire feverishly to kill them because after all, "There is no safe place to go afk".
As their non-covert ops cloak times runs out of fuel or overheats, they will either run back to empire or feel the rush of adrenaline wash over them as their push their ship to the limits and kill or be killed. It may seem harsh, but in their best interest and will eventually thank us for introducing them to the world of death and destruction.
But we do this not only for them, but also for dedicated pvp players. Afk cloaking should end by whatever reasonable suggestions are eventually reached so that there can be death and tears. Without a sharp increase in tears, the ccp servers will run so hot that the volcano in Iceland will seem like nothing more than one of sir molly's bbq's.
The tears must flow, end afk cloaking for hours on end so real pvpers can eat well and mistreat their illegitimate children enough to hunger for real power, but not enought to burn them alive and screaming after a real harsh bender and playing hide the stabber.

Being cloaked in a system and not saying anything is not a "crime" and it does not deserve punishment. When I am cloaked, it's because I am busy scanning.
I wish people would clearly realize the difference between cloaking for a reason and true AFK cloaking. Yes, if someone cloaks and then goes to a movie, they should be logged off. What problem could there be with a timer that logs someone off after inactivity. There are people who even think that docking is a form of logging off! The real "Crime" here is that they eat up bandwidth. They should be bumped off so someone else who wants to play can log in.

If the afk cloaking gets nerfed in someway, it will drive a bunch of people away from zerozero. Mainly beacause every zerozero player, who doesn't have an alliance sove, or strong enough foothold somewhere needs this to overlive. I know. The cloak is the only shield inbetween a little toon who came to hunt plexes and the huge alliance trying to make hes/hers life harsh.
If people cry about afk cloakers, they should realize, that players that are afk are not that wery dangerous. And as I have noticed, it seems that the ones crying hardest are the ones who lost a navy raven or some like that, beacause of a pilgrim or a rapier. They were not afk cloakers and should not be punished in any way.

Yeah okay, in exchange you remove the scan res penalty that is applied to scanning, also the velocity penalty too :)
No, burn in hell, no, no and erm, did i mention no? if you have a problem with cloaking
Propulsion jamming 5, and a large bubble will often eliminate cloaking on anything but covert ops and black ops

If you remove local in null/low sec then THERE IS NO AFK CLOAKING there is simply an empty local with no ships on scan - like most of the null/low sec systems in EVE.
