Edited by: Valentine Keen on 05/12/2004 18:44:11 Gan someone please ask why CCP's maths is different from the rest of the world.
The listed formulas for Corp and Alliance wars don't work at all, no matter how you intrepret them, and certainly not compared to the example costs they give in the same paragraph on the Exodus features page!
A clarification over these costs is needed if players are to know where to progress on wars atm.
(Don't have IRC, can't ask myself)

since I probably cannot participate in the dev chat, I will put the following question here (and a very pertinent one btw):
Many people have been complaining about the distribution of the Ice belts (IE: best ice is in empire, while the not so good ice is in 0.0 space). This can infact place a break in the development of POS in 0.0 space, coupled with the fact of it's heavy running costs. I ask: Will the ice belts be resshufled? -------------------

just in case i cant attend: ETA on mines?
Supposed to work in Exodus, they are still not launchable. Maybe after the missile nerf?

Because we're all thinking of it:
"What's being done to combat macro miners? Ideas include a mining mini-game, more aggressive tracking/banning, code in EVE to identify known macro programs, et cet.."

*sigh this old topic again*..
Now that the EXODUS launch has gone, well, quite well and things are starting to return to normality on the development front, can we expect one of the developers to be re-looking the tracking/projectile issue which they had stated as a "post-shiva fix" ----------------------------------------- Everlasting Vendetta PVP Commander, yarr

Edited by: Tesk Malloc on 05/12/2004 21:28:15 Main Questions issues for me:
There seems to be a general consenous among all players (more the pvp'ers I'll admit) that there needs to be a few changes, specifically to the new overview, but to other areas also. Some are minor issues I'll admit, though some are major:
Overview: 1) You cannot move the window to your screen placement of choice 2) It minimises after undocking 2) It does not correctly organise ships (hostiles appear halfway down in the middle of allies etc.) 3) Quite often, fellow alliance and gang members appear as war targets after a jump 4) The new method of identifying a objects status is no where near as practical or easy to see as the previous scanners coloured bars were.
Status Icons: Although not exactly the overview, the new symbols in the bottom right corner of an objects box make combat very, very difficult in even a medium engagement. Friendlies merge into hostiles due to the larger boxes, and this makes approaching, targeting, orbiting etc. becomes a very trial and error affair to get the right target.
Radial Menu and Double clicking: The new radial menu, although I suppose could be useful in some situations, really just makes more of a mess of the HUD, once again make combat a very messy affair, and the removal of double clicking seems an odd subtraction.
Think I've mentioned everything, but might of missed something related to these points, just wondering if CCP ahave any plans to change anything mentioned?

Could you also ask the following please.
Is there any proposed change to the Lab slot shortage situation and also will there any subsidised deployment of the advanced materials in the Empire sectors until the POS are up and running and their supply lines in place?
Thanks.

Here is my question:
Is there any working going to be done on Logistics Cruisers? Or is their uselessness an intended feature?

question:
are you satisfied with the way how tanking works?
is there a chance that the following would ever happen:
WAY more hitpoints but NO ability to repair during a battle... (the ability to not repair in a battle would be very important imo)

Greetings Grim |

Sorry Murple, I'm gonna use your post as an example, but it isn't just you.
When it comes to asking questions, it is, IMHO, best to be specific. Calling a ship useless might get you a good answer, but saying what is wrong, and asking how it could be fixed, or even suggesting changes is a lot better.
Let's say you got that exact question asked, all they have to do is say that they don't think it's useless.
Again, I just used your post as an example, this is really to help people who post from now on ask better questions.

Ok then,
Ahem, the question again...
Currently Logistics Cruisers are barely being used. The price and skill reqs of these ships doesn't seem justified in their usefulness. Despite their increased range in armor/ shield repair etc. a BS can do a better job in repairing ships quicker and they last longer at a lesser skill level and only somewhat larger cost. There are a bunch of other aurguments that you can read in these forums. Will there be any efforts made to increase their effectiveness that will increase the incentive for people to use these ships more often? Perhaps increase their range, powergrid/cpu to handle larger transfer mods and increase their armor/shields to a larger amount so that they may last longer?

My question(s) for the Devs...
- Market Items: Missing Tech 1 BPO (still) - Where are the Expanded Cargohold I, Large Hull Repairer I, Strip Miner I, Ice Harvester I BPO, etc.?
- Market Items: Why are the Mining Barge BPO so disproportionately high vs all other BPO? Most are usually 10x the NPC price of the produced item. Mining Barges are 50x. Also, why are they only located in Outer Ring region, when the barges themselves are sold throughout Empire via allied corps?
- POS: When will POS be available to be placed in 0.4 through 0.7 space? By not having the POS in Empire space, you have effectively crippled the Ice Product market, as the 0.0-0.3 POS owners can mine their own Ice products, and do. The only things they are willing to buy and haul are Isotopes and sometimes Clathrates.
- Corp: Timeframe for implementing Corporate Tax system fully (or at least a generic tax that the corp wallet actually gets)?
- Character Sheet: Timeframe for getting the Character Sheet back online?
- Mining Improvements: Timeframe for getting Gas Cloud mining and Comet mining?
------------------- |
