Countered by the Insurance Nerf. It costs the same (well, more, actually) to gank with a Catalyst now as it cost to gank with a Thorax before Crucible, and with identical results. I said overall buff; you have to take into account all the changes that happened with Crucible and not rush to focus on one.

Ok, you don't like it. That's fine. Don't do it. Other people do like it. The beauty of EvE is that it lets you do whatever you like, subject only to the collective whims of other players.
It is undeniably PvP though. There's a player on each end, and a violence in the middle.

Miners are so easy to kill even a child can beat them. Says a lot for the quality of the miners more I would say. |

With the exception of remaining actively aligned to something and warping out the moment an obvious suicide gank ship warps in there is NOTHING a miner can do. Even going for more tank cannot stop being ganked. All the gankers ever need to do is getting a bigger ship or more folks but it will always end up in a miner being killed in a way a 7y old can replicate.

Gankers can also gank the veldnought if they bring enough ships. Hulks get a heavy assault ship class tank, I guess we also need to buff the tank on them too. |

I find it so funny how dense miners can be whenever I see these ganking threads. Here is the point-by-point summary of advice you need.
1. People gank because it is fun. Maybe some find there to be a little challenge but in the end it is the fun of attacking another player and taking his stuff. Not everyone is looking for fair fights and EVE is not ABOUT fair.
2. You have all the tools needed to EASILY prevent ganking - get this through your carebear heads already. You don't need to run to CCP everytime you fail fit your hulk.
3. Nobody is trying to tell you how to play. In fact all the gankers WANT you to continue playing as you are. Stop whining that we are trying to change your gaming lifestyle or something. In the end the more of you playing the way you are, the more fun the gankers get.
Ridiculous whining on the miner side. |
