Oh hey Windjammer, thanks for your efforts to push CCP devs into the dry, corporate, humourless, officious smugness you seem to use so well.
Being called a 'customer' is kind of an insult where i come from, understand? Just so you know.
As you were.

Dude, you are one of the biggest pimples on the face of Eve. You seem to be the only one that doesn't know it.
Also, I wish more Devs were like Atropos and felt free enough to joke around with us the forums more, but asshats like you make that nearly impossble.
Okay, Mr. Groupie. I want you to step awaaay from the billy goats. Nobody wants to see one of the Gruff bothers get hurt here. Instead why don't you help yourself to the Kool-aide over there on your way out.

Oh, all right. Which term do you prefer instead of customer? John, Trick or Sucker?

Originally by: Windjammer You missed the point of the OP and my own post. That is this.....is this a bug or is it an intended feature change? It was a simple and reasonable question with a simple answer. Said answer? It's an issue and they're working to fix it. That's what CCP Atropos should have answered.
Indeed that is how I should have answered and I would have answered that way had I known it was infact a bug or a feature. I didn't know and so I made a funny remark in an attempt to raise the tenor of the forum which was suffering under the post-patch deluge it often gets.
Having been a player for many years before becoming a dev, I know what it's like to have no interaction with the devs, and so now that the shoe is on the other foot, I attempt to have some semblance of interaction with the player base, whether it's with a succint and factually correct monologue or a short and witty remark about something I know nothing of.
I'm sorry that I was unable to answer your question or offer any insight into the disposition of the problem.
This is just about the most impressive post from a dev I've ever seen. If it isn't an apology, it's close enough to count as one. As such, it gives me new hope for EVE and CCP. Too often I see devs make announcements with the tone of "this is the way it is and if you don't like it, love it or leave it". CCP Atropos has just done a great deal to dispel that image.
Making a mistake tells people something. It sends a message. It may be easy to forget that when you have the letters CCP in front of your name and you post on the forums, you're speaking as the voice of CCP. Your words have weight that an ordinary players words lack.
The way one corrects or responds to a mistake can either compound the original mistake or wipe the mistake from existence and actually leave things in a better place than they were before the original mistake was made. CCP Atropos has just done that.
I hope that CCP Atropos will continue to post to these forums. I found the above post from him/her to be a refreshing breeze.
Best regards, Windjammer
And I find your smug, self-righteous pomposity in this post to be an unwelcome gust of rank putrescence.
Douchey behaviour towards the devs like yours is going to ruin player/dev interaction in EVE, and by extension is going to make the game worse.
Grow up, princess. Lose the entitlement attitude, get a sense of humour, and HTFU.

Ok sick puppy; Seek profession help.
One good thing to note. With the amount of mud slinging going on here, It shouldn't be too long before this sad display of social discourse gets locked.

Is that seriously your response to a question from a customer?
You must be new here.
I want a decent answer to a question from a paying customer, are these changes to carrier mechanics intentional or are they bugs. I'm just getting a little sick of ccp running there company like a team of college kids programming code in someone's basement. Employ some public relations staff.
Forwarding this to tomcat, enjoy your kick

PR Staff says, "Thank you for your report. We may or may not be aware of such and issue and may or may not be in the process of fixing this! We are very excited to provide you with a game that you love and take these issues very serious! Your efforts are to help us in this matter is very much appreciated!"
EDIT: Yes, I too found the Dev response a little perplexing but PR responses often aren't helpful either.

But... but... this answer is a boooring one :(
Besides, your other post was much more fun (I actually thought you answered the question in a funny way, but apparently not xD).

Far sadder you felt compelled to dig up a thread whose last post was 12 days ago for the sole reason of giving applause to rubbish.
