A question for the great commentators:
In previous tournaments we saw a lot of faction/T2 cruisers such as Zealots/Navy Omens, Navy Stabbers, Vagabonds, Navy Caracals etc.
Why are they so rare in this tournament?

I don't understand why all the talk about the target painters. Only torpedos really require the target painters really. Heavy missiles already have a sig radius well below Battleships, Battlecruisers, and even Cruisers. Really, tackle is needed more to slow the enemy down sub ~600mps (if i recall correctly, damage starts dying a lot above that speed)
Another question:
Why aren't you talking more about the poor target calls. For example with the Triple Mach and Single Bhaal setup vs the sleipnir, hurricane, and tengu setup- The last Machariel was dying and they started shooting the shield tanked tengu over the shield tanked Hurricane.... The Cane has a lot more DPS, a much less tank/effective hitpoints. It was a race to kill the incoming damage before the Mach died, and the target call of the Tengu over the Hurricane doomed them. Damps wouldn't have played a factor as the Tengu is way longer range than the Hurricane. Essentially target calling like this doesn't make sense to me.

What do you guys think about the use of revamped artillery in the tournament, or lack thereof? In my experience on TQ it's great for volleying cruisers such as recons or logis, but it seems that tracking issues are preventing their use in the tourney. Thoughts?
Personally I was looking forward to nano-pests or machs using artillery for 13k damage specific alpha able to reach across the match, but I've been sorely disappointed.

Are you guys gonna sell those Faction Plaques behind you? :P i'd pay good money for em of their real metal.
Also, Will there be a handicap against Matari faaction ships? I feel they're overused and frankly overpowered for these close range tournies and to be honest, it gets boring. The only way to win with anything else is for it to be a complete surprise (Hull tanking Kroni [plural Kronos], Blaster Caldari, and pure Amarr faction and sub-faction setups and etc), but then it only works once and then you go back to your Matari setup.
Personaly I think it would be better if there were more Caldari and Gallente pirate faction ship models. You know, we have the Guristas and Sansha's Nation ships that are completely different from the standard models. Caldari and Gallente Pirate factions are the same model but with a different skin/paintjob. Will there be new additional models added for them?

I've noticed that the commentators seem a bit less enthusiastic this week than previous weeks, perhaps because they are camera shy.
I'd much rather hear the excitement in their voices than see on screen the actual people.
Usually I'm glued to the screen, but this weekend doesnt seem have the same energy to me. But still a great tournament:) |

So my question to the "experts":
What do you think about EW tactics in the future of EvE specially in bigger fleet fights.
Far far away in the past we had a lot of EW in fleet fights but today the DPS and EHP is more important for the most pilots specially in fleet fights. Also the TP and TD are more important for the most then Dampeners or Jammers. How is the future for the Dampeners and Jammer in fleet fights?
