Originally by: CCP Claw The simple fact is that Dystopia demolished you and you had an extra point; you barely killed the ships you did as is, and you were not going to kill anything else (which is why the match was stopped). This is called adjudication. Honestly, you're lucky you got as many points as you did, as without that Taranis charge (if we'd removed a ship before the match) you probably wouldn't have had the Basilisk either.
Anyway, yes i should have spotted it before the match, but that doesnt excuse an illegal setup.

Kadeshi didnt bring 101 by accident or because they are stupid. They did it intentional hoping nobody was counting; Just like what happened.
I assume the 10 points lost eliminates them from tourny. If not they should be disqualified.
I believe that the time it took to kill the one ship which would have been destroyed prior would have been spent on killing something else. Meaning a far different result would have happened. In favour of dystopia. ------------------------ To make a megathron from scratch, you must first invent the eve universe. ------------------------ Life sucks and then you get podded. |

If only they had fielded one point less. Maybe dystopia could have won that match

Now that the cat is out of the bag, let me state that the sum we paid Kadeshi to field a 101 point setup was one Mimir.
Hope everyone liked the explosions and the forum trolling.

You may be 100% correct, and yet, that's poor form. There are plenty of people in this thread already smacking them. As judge of the alliance tournament, you should be above that.

Originally by: CCP Claw The Kadeshi fielded an illegal 101 point team.
Though it is unlikely the result of the match would have been affected by this 1 point, the tiebreak points easily could have been, so that Kadeshi have been penalised 10 points.
Incompetent and biased. If you let the match start you should have let it finish and there should be no penalty at all for this. It appears CCP only penalizes the teams they don't like.
Did RED Overlord get penalized for illegal players? No. WTF should The Kadeshi get penalized?

your logic is failing here. the fact that they barely killed the ships they did and probly wasnt going to kill anything else have never been grounds to stop a match before, right? i remeber seeing plenty of benny hill chases. second you admit its your job to check no ones starts whit an illegal setup. you cant punish kadeshi for your failings, no matter how stupied they where.
i also agree whit koronos, as a ccp employee you should be above second grade trolling. especially when you already have the entire forums whit you. you come of very amateurish doing so.

Seems pretty straightforward to me. Math is hard.
That would be great except CCP dont stick to rules, they change them as they see fit and penalise teams so randomly its a joke.
Ill quote you some more rules shall i...

Tournament Rules
4. All competing pilots must have been members of the alliance for which they are competing for a minimum of 60 continuous days prior to the beginning of the tournament. For Alliance Tournament 8 this means that pilots must have been a member of their alliance before downtime on 06/04/10
Lets see, WE FORM VOLTRON should not be in this tournamnet at all according to these hard and fast rules, oh wait, no these rules are wrong as CCP allowed them in.
Also as said above, RED OVERLORD fielded an illegal player in both matches yet received no penalty at all? Gee something really smells bad with these decisions.

Would you guys like some tech two tissue nuubins?
The point limit is setup that way for a so you do not field extra points, the 60 day rule was setup so that alt alliance wouldn't be setup and those alliances wouldn't have team a, team b, team c. If you cant see the difference you are more ******ed then I thought possible and all hope is lost for you being able to actually comprehend anything said or mention in this post. The spirit of the rule has been maintained in both instances and you should just stop whining.

That is a bit of a red herring. But since you want to go that way, no, I do not think they should be penalized the same, but if you get a ticket for driving 75 in a 55 zone, you'll still have to pay a penalty, the same as if you broke into a house and stole a TV. The penalty may be different, but there should be a penalty.
Allowing a team to use an illegal pilot to win a match should be penalized, and not by "penalizing" them on future matches by not letting him fly.

Oh wow, this thread is comedy gold! Are you all the same person or what?
The fact is that CCP Claw has done a far better job getting and keeping this tournament together than any of us have any realistic reason to expect. For all the infractions of the rules so far he has responded with very fair decisions. The difference between the other two cases (VOLTRON and ROL) and the Kadeshi make this whole whinefest unimportant. As soon as we realized that something was horribly wrong we petitioned and mailed the hell out of any CCP employee we thought might have some ability to help us and ACTUALLY BEGGED ON THE FORUMS for CCP Claw to allow us to compete. Every one of our pilots would have, if not for that couple of days when CCP was deciding what to do with us, had the required 60 consecutive days in alliance. If you had noticed that you were fielding 101 points before the match begun (STILL your responsibility...not Claw's) then more than likely you would have been given a bit more leniency.
Eve is generally a game that punishes the stupid move. What makes you think that crying and pointing your fingers at the devs because life isn't fair and it was deemed that rol's infraction, WHICH IS A COMPLETELY DIFFERENT INFRACTION THAN YOURS, means that yours should go unpunished will generate the level of sympathy obviously believe you deserve?
FFS stop posting with your alts.
