Friends of the Eve universe. In the past making a video was something I've always enjoyed. Making this video however brings me no joy.
It is a protest.
The new alliance war structure and oppressive fees are damaging roleplaying Amarr and Minmatar corporations who fight the Amarr - Minmatar wars. Already several corporations and allinaces have had to end totally consensual wars due to the high cost (some in excess of 50m isk a WEEK).
Due to this action by Concord (CCP) we now are faced with the very real possibility that roleplaying this war, a storyline they gave us, may come to and end. The risk of disenfranchising a 500+ member segment of Eve's population is a horrible reality I'd rather not face.
In an effort to bring this problem to CCP's attention we have had running for several days now a thread in the EXODUS forum. This THREAD PLEASE READ has had over seven pages now of advocacy with very minimal objection. Clearly CONSENSUAL WAR is something that is needed and wanted.
Because this seven page plus thread has been ignored by CCP despite repeated pleas to see a GM or Dev post we the roleplaying communities of CVA and UshraKhan have created a new medium of complaint.
The protest video.
This video outlines our frustrations with Eve and shows what we've been reduced to. Carebears mining together in empire space (kind of humerous). Because many can no longer afford war costs we're left to this.
Already morale has plummeted in the roleplay community. Some have left the game. Wars have been cancelled. To be honest I've thought of leaving myself.
So I proudly present my seventh EVE video.

Couldn't you just make one thread about this rather than resorting to creating multiple threads on the same topic as you did in Intergalactic Summit?

true, without war i am considering leaving also, for clearer waters i dont really like the 0.0 wars too complicated and no good backstory's or RP :)

Many do not view Intergalactic, and the post is significantly different. One is RP, the other is not. As most of EVE does not RP, we thought it wise to post in General as well. Please do not flame us for this very legitimate issue.

Many do not view Intergalactic, and the post is significantly different. One is RP, the other is not. As most of EVE does not RP, we thought it wise to post in General as well. Please do not flame us for this very legitimate issue.

OMG That video was the ****. Not because of the message but because of the ending "Mining" part. That was a nice spin on the whole dramatic war info then the "Rocky" theme song clicked in! I could have swore I saw someone webbing a astroid!

yep we webbed them and fired torps btu we coudlnt work out why we couldnt mine that way we even tried nosf...since we cant rat hunt in empire, people told us they got money from veldspar and scordite, we tried communicating with these rocks but they didnt answer so then we tried shooting them btu we dont seem to be getting a bounty any ideas lads???

Taken from a Dev Blog dated November 30th. Now true it is old, but they are working on it. Whining about it will not help at all, I think they are more concerned with game stopping bugs right now and features that benefit a lot more people than a handful of people.
