It is not always necessary to engage the enemy. Frequently we find that the mere whisper of the name "Star Fraction" will send our foes scrambling for the docking ring. Just wait 'til we can walk in stations... Where will you hide then?

Whoever sides with the revolutionary people is a revolutionary. Whoever sides with imperialism, feudalism and bureaucrat-capitalism is a counter-revolutionary. Whoever sides with the revolutionary people in words only but acts otherwise is a revolutionary in speech. Whoever sides with the revolutionary people in deed as well as in word is a revolutionary in the full sense.

'If I may?' The Amarrian indicated the chair that Este had clients sit in when meeting here and, not pausing for an answer, placed it so as to sit at right-angles to the Caldari before gathering his robe and sitting down. The Gallentean quietly closed the back door and stood by it, hands lightly resting by his sides.
'Now then, Mr Suumiya, you have, if I may say so, been rather incautious in your choice of business partners. I fear the little, what shall we say? Hostile takeover you arranged on behalf of said business partner did not altogether go to plan and will now rebound on you and, you may be sure, eventually on your associates.'
'Listen, I can't tell you anything. The client was careful. They used an encrypted dead-drop address. No way to trace that. Didn't even contact me after it went down, I got a third in advance, didn't even cover my losses.' Este's words tumbled out in a rush.
'As I said, you have been incautious. As to your losses, well, we shall soon see about that.' The figure leaned forward, a black silk-gloved hand emerging from the robes to softly stroke the back of Este's own furiously-sweating right hand. 'However, I would be grateful if you were to calm down, Mr Suumiya, and perhaps we may yet get on famously.'
Este jerked his hand back and glared at the Amarrian, gathering some bravado from who knows where. 'So it's true, you're a deviant as well as a heretic.'
The Amarrian burst out laughing, his cowl slipping a little and showing another glint of dark metal as he tilted his head back. 'Of course! Surely you know we're all deviants in our little group? Isn't that right, Nurse?' The Gallentean blushed a little and giggled with a smile reflected, this time, by a light dancing in his eyes.
Este glared at the Amarrian and shakily drew the sleeve of his jacket across his forehead. He was feeling very warm, very scared but very angry. He'd show this freak.

Because I've enjoyed writing about Evet's saucy antics in this thread I thought I'd discuss a possible misunderstandings concerning RP. While the Fraction is an old RP corporation, no doubt, and its war targets and diplomacy are decided according to its RP philosophy, operation aspects are not conducted IC (in character. Just as they aren't in non RP PvP corporations. Many of our players, if not most, don't RP, though Jericho Fraction does, naturally, require its membership to had a serious RP commitment to the corp's basic philosophy - and beyond NRDS that's pretty broad.

Not to put words in anyones mouth and until Jade gets a chance/or wants to respond to this û I thought I might remind you some of this things that Jade spoke about in theæ08 campaign.
Some things donÆt change, such as the unending job of pushing CCP to implement proposals presented by the CSM, as Jade said in interview with Kyle Stallock:
Kyle Stallock: When can we expect to see in-game results from the meeting?
Jade Constantine: Well the immediate results were in the prioritizing of development effort applied to the game changes we advocated to CCP.
[à]
For me personally, the first big things I'm expecting changes on relate to Faction Warfare [ à ] incorporating our advise and advocacy on a truly dynamic, open-ended plotline for the game itself.
Looking back through the minutes it looks like the CSM Jade chaired was mainly concerned with making sure that the CSM would survive and have the power to represent the players. Jade commented in the interview above that the first CSM was only taken seriously by the 0.0 alliances. I hope that the CSM isnÆt dominated by them in æ11.

This time around I think I'd have quite a lot in common with the iterate now! crowd. I think areas of the game have suffered from lack of attention for years now. Faction Warfare has been left untouched more less. Alliance management tools, treaties in 0.0, t3, soverignty structured etc.
I was a great fan of Mynxee's improve lowsec agenda last time also and I think I would be pushing on the CSM to get a full cycle expansion focused on lowsec, to improve the experience of players from faction warfare to piracy to micro industry and bounty hunting (years ago we had some excellent proposals written for a full-featured bounty hunting profession and that really does need implementing).
My personal feeling for why the game of eve is getting a bit dry now is there is not enough movement or motivation encouraging players to take risks. 0.0 is a pretty static aristocracy that exists with its supercaps and jumpbridges and rarely needs to expose itself to risk - there needs to be a role for small gang intediction of economic infrastructure there otherwise its simply boring stasis. I'd go so far as to say we rollout delayed local in 0.0 immediately and see how it works - its been tested in w-space for years now, lets see how the impact is felt in 0.0.
(dead macro-ratters and far more paranoid big alliance members for sure)
But that is only one side of the equation. Lowsec needs to be made more interesting and profitable to draw adventurous hisec dwellers to take a risk because the profits of there to be taken. I'd like to see faction warfare expanded and given more conseqence so that occupancy matters. I'd like incursions to be improved and for CCP to have the courage of their convictions with spreading incursions, genuine hisec gate camps and disruption when they spread, and to keep on exploring ways of demonstrating impact to the game world.
Eve for me is never more alive than when the politics and events happening somewhere are felt by the player base as a whole. I hate it when it feels just like any other game of instancies and micro universes off in their own isolation.
So what I would see more than anything is ways of seducing players into interacting with each other, beyond their comfort zones and triggering competition, cooperation, and outright conflict through the dynamism of the gameworld. Giving people more reasons to fight or help each other.

We provide a relaxed and mature player base, excellent logistics and operational support, a massive red-list of imperialist dogs waiting to be removed from their ships and a bright cause of revolutionary mayhem and anarchist liberation waiting to be achieved. We are a corporate meritocracy with no restrictions on ambition and achievement and on completion of the trial period you will be invited to play a full role in alliance democracy and decision-making at the open councils of owner-captains.

'Now, Mr Suumiya, it's my hope that you will be forthcoming with the details of this matter. We will of course have due regard to your records but it is my experience that certain things are to be found only in the mind of the subject. I feel sure it is so with you, even though you are surely incompetent both in the commissions you choose to accept and in the staff you engage to fulfil them.'
Este became furious and voluble at this, giving vent to a torrent of abuse directed at the Amarrian that went on for a full minute before he wound down. All through it the hooded figure, head tilted to one side, regarded the Caldari with his one visible eye.
'Well quite,' said the Amarrian when the verbal assault had come to its end and Suumiya sat panting and suddenly completely drained. 'Now, I think you wanted to tell me about the client who tricked you into this disastrous venture, yes? The one who left you exposed and didn't even cover your expenses.'
This triggered another string of expletives and ranting from Este before he lapsed into a dull, staring-eyed stupor.
'Hmm, yes. I quite agree. Incidentally, the encrypted dead-drop, what escrow house was it with?'
'NOH Transact, it was a one-read, invasive connection-erasure drop,' said Este without thinking.
'I see. That would account for its absence from your records. Do you use them yourself?'
'No. I use MF Quanta for my info drops.'
'Ah. Now, what day and time did you activate the dead-drop?'
Este's brow creased, he couldn't remember such details, he wanted to but he couldn't. He croaked soundlessly.
'Now, now, Mr Suumiya, you can do it, do try. For me.'
'Uh, one-zero-eight, zero-four, zero-six.'
'The day, splendid, and the time? I know you can do it.'
'one-six, two-five, zero-seven.' Under terrific compulsion that he could not understand, Este dragged out the time from a subconscious that had always known it.
'Well done, Mr Suumiya, well done indeed. Nurse, I think we have what we came for.' The Amarrian reached out and lightly slapped Este to break him out of his trance. The Caldari looked at him dumbly. The robed figure stood and walked over to the back door. Este tried to stand up and found he could not. He called out, tried to raise a hand and found he could not move his arms. The Amarrian glanced at the Gallentean. 'Excellent, Nurse, your skill as a venefice increases daily. The timing here was exquisite.'
'Thank you, Doctor.' The Gallentean again giggled momentarily then stifled the outburst.
'Wha? What have you done?' Este choked out an agonised question, eyes sliding towards the dreadful pair as he found himself unable to even turn his head.
The Amarrian raised his gloved hand, 'Ostratox, in a preparation developed by my dear colleague here. It has the effect of first enraging the recipient, quickly loosening the tongue and producing a suggestive state that can access the subconscious, even while it begins to afflict the extremities with a paralysis that will eventually affect the entire corpus, including the heart muscle. I am afraid I cannot stay to witness your final moments but I suggest you reflect on your true losses in this matter. A peaceful and painless end is one of them, alas.'
Eyes starting from his head, Este gave vent to a horrific rattle as the Amarrian left by the back door, followed by the Gallentean who delicately closed the door behind him, his smile still playing about his lips.

"Six years ago we were founded with strict NRDS rules of engagement at the heart of our ideology and we have remained true to those principles throughout our long history. Jericho Fraction pilots are disciplined fighters, mercilessly crushing imperialist dogs while respecting neutrality and encouraging free-trade and economic development on the frontier.
We are now opening recruitment to mature and confident individual pilots with an appetite for enduring revolution and the stomach for bright acts of creative destruction. You must be self-sufficient with the enthusiasm required to maintain combat readiness over sustained campaigning. You must be prepared to learn new war-arts and techniques and operate in conjunction with fellow pilots as required by the movement. You must embrace the ideology of the Free Captain, cherish the promise of the endless stars and commit to the struggle against the diseased psyche of territorial restriction and regressive imperial dogma with every immortal breath you take." War, this monster of mutual slaughter among men, will be finally eliminated by the progress of human society, and in the not too distant future too. But there is only one way to eliminate it and that is to oppose war with war, to oppose counterrevolutionary war with revolutionary war, to oppose national counter-revolutionary war with national revolutionary war, and to oppose counter-revolutionary class war with revolutionary class war.... When human society advances to the point where classes and states are eliminated, there will be no more wars, counter-revolutionary or revolutionary, unjust or just; that will be the era of perpetual peace for mankind. Our study of the laws of revolutionary war springs from the desire to eliminate all wars; herein lies the distinction between us [Fractionites] and all the exploiting classes.

A revolution is not a dinner party, or writing an essay, or painting a picture, or doing embroidery; it cannot be so refined, so leisurely and gentle, so temperate, kind, courteous, restrained and magnanimous. A revolution is an insurrection, an act of violence by which one class overthrows another.

Evet: We are a paramilitary organisation, if you like we're the paramilitary wing of the free space movement. However, I'll leave others to discuss and describe these activities while I discuss some of less visible aspects and consequences of our type of counter insurgency. When we move into a theatre we find decimated infrastructure, disease, food shortages, indeed the aftermath of violent indiscriminate engagements or the oppression of occupation, all that is entail by, and euphemistically described as, collateral damage. Our primary objective is to begin the task of opposed development beginning with distributed security.
Interviewer: Isn't that destabilising, leading to anarchy?
Evet: à stability is the objective yes, but not exclusively
Interviewer: Surely it either is or isn't your objective, and we also know your anarchists so whose clothes are you wearing now. Look I mean, is stability your objective or not?
Evet: à our objective is the facilitation of stability, but ironically it's under that rubric the antagonists justify the imperial programme. Characteristicly their programme involves elements excised from the healthy functions of the community, whether actual or vestigial, through wholly negative processes, such as, crowding out, dependency traps, elite capture and imposing a foreign rule of law. These are then delivered back to them as thought created by the imperial power, it's a good trick. No system of governance can work without complicity, regardless of ownership. Strangely this is not widely appreciated by the governed, who are tricked into believe that they would not be able to manage it themselves, while it is obvious it is highly controversial . We work hard to organise collectively to deliver ownership of whatever emerges, while preserving the social relations upon which is the fabric of the community rely. This is highly context sensitive shutting down these 'services' even where they aren't emergency or NGO is not without politically fallout. Key in this process is empowerment collective responsibility and distribution of wealth, namely, the availability of small arms; making sure that domestic products find a market, and the elimination of opportunist and parasitic elements, as far as our rules of engagement allow.
Interviewer: this is unbelievable,or impossible isn't it Evet?

"The most dangerous man, to any government, is the man who is able to think things out for himself, without regard to the prevailing superstitions and taboos.
