I build no system. I ask an end to privilege, the abolition of slavery, equality of rights, and the reign of law. Justice, nothing else. That is the alpha and omega of my argument.

06:23 Eve Standard Time
Jexit wakes up on the floor of La Maison. Several hours earlier, she'd passed out in her chair during the course of a Vitoc high. The establishment is empty now. The ice in her glass is melted.
She blinks rapidly, working to focus her vision and acquire her bearings. Standing uneasily, she stumbles to the nearest waste receptacle, retches several times, but produces nothing.
"Oh.. that's right. Lucky me," as she recalls not having eaten anything the night before.
She slumps into a nearby seat and fumbles for her pocket neocom. She brings up a passworded document labeled "Inspirations". She scrolls down the screen and, arriving at the end of a long list, adds two more items:
- Multi-Consciousness (has this been done?) - Pseudo-Vitoxin structure: STUPID mistake, remind self (R)-1-(benzo[d][1,3]dioxol-5-yl)-N-methylpropan-2-amine and (S)-1-(benzo[d][1,3]dioxol-5-yl)-N-methylpropan-2-amine (delta agonist gene is totally superfluous! I think.)
She closes that document and starts a new one. She stares into the pristine emptiness of the blank screen. Like fresh snowfall. Untouched. Fragile and defenseless. Quivering in anticipation of that first step. That irrevocable footprint. The inevitable trail of chaos that would follow. Burned across the pure white landscape like a jagged, bleeding scar on Amarrian skin.
The words seem to arrive in her head with a sudden impact. Jexit begins typing rapidly:
Last night, Evangeline asked what attracted me to these anarchists (The Star Fraction).
SCIENCE!
Exploration, experience, experimentation!
But I'll get to that.
First, consider this: New Eden is full of dead-end people, working tirelessly (or indenturing others to do so) toward "ends" which have no value, no purpose, and no fulfillment. The quest for endless mountains of ISK. The struggle to acquire vast expanses of known space and hold onto them. Why? What's the next step? After we've acquired all the money and "land" in New Eden, what do we do with it? Sit on our mountain with our thumbs up our asses and gloat? Is that the grand prize?
Is it about security? Safety? Once we have security, what will we have gained by it? We'll *finally* be able to sit around and STARE at each other without worry of *bad* things happening to us. Oh joy! Certainly sounds like paradise, don't it???
NO! I refuse to accept this as the pinnacle to which the human race aspires.
Life is to be LIVED. What satisfaction is there to be had in security? What experience therein which can't be rivaled (or beaten) by the rush of danger? What comfort in xenophobia can trump the thrill of new encounters? What indulgences can wealth provide to sate the boundless curiosity of the mind?
I don't understand the finer points of politics. But I can see clearly that the laws and ideas enforced by any governmental system in New Eden have the unconscionable effect of limiting the possible experiences of life. Bans against the use of drugs. Constraints on the proliferation of new technology. And yes, the very limitations on who may travel where, and when.
Experience IS life. And with that in mind, I've made it my goal to explore the human condition. And to experiment on it. To unlock new experiences for myself and for everyone. Experiences which may not have been possible before certain breakthroughs in the biological and technological sciences. Even experiences which, quite simply, no one ever thought to try.
This is my quest. A life thoroughly lived. And the opportunity for anyone and everyone else to have the same, should they so choose.
And THAT is why I found myself attracted to The Star Fraction.
- Jexit
She presses the "SEND TO ALL" button with authority, then plops the neocom face-down on the table. She buries her face in her hands. Her eyes are burning and her stomach growling.
She slides her right hand down into her boot and produces a small bag of pre-measured Vitoc capsules...
Hope will never be silent. - Harvey Milk |

There'll be no change if noone points it out and rebels against it. Is it working vice versa too? Will there be no rebellion if there aren't any changes being made first?
Adjust your attitude and stand up for what you believe is right. Stand up and face your enemies on an equal level. Do you dare take that first step? Do you dare to change to rebel, and rebel to change?

Star Fraction has a history empowering the little guy, before they becomes new meat for the large imperialist corporate war machine of O.O. Jericho Fraction has pioneered asymmetric warfare to exploit the characteristic weaknesses of these larger powers. Such unconventional strategies and tactics of warfare, require imagination so that "weaker" combatant can offset deficiencies in quantity or quality and bring it.
Such an induction to the black arts is required for the combat pilot in SF, if your intrigued listen to Jade speak on 'Individuality and Freedom in Eve Online' in her address to Eve-Uni graduates.

The Star Fraction fights to realize humanity's oldest hope: the perfectionist ethical imperative, the improvement of the human condition. This requires forces both practical and ideological, underpinning the radical theory and practice of revolutionary liberation.
The opportunities for accumulation afforded by worm hole space, and the golden age that it promised, have led the enemies of freedom to war with renewed barbarism. áWithout vision they do this to relive capital congestion by stimulating the need for endless re-armament to drain away the surplus. áHowever the concomitant problem of increased competition, without new innovation - the T3 renaissance quickly exhausted of new discovery - has inevitably meant a fall in the rate of profit for all but the largest and most aggressive corporate monopolies. áTherefore, the æfertile destructionÆ solution, to speak glibly of the hundreds of trillions who have died in subjugation to theirápermanent arms economy, has achieved nothing accept to concentrate wealth in the hands of the same old parasitic elites, maintaining the status quo. This keeps the majority in slavery, or bonded labour, even relegating large portions of the capsules class to near poverty, unable to make a profit they finally turn to piracy out of frustration. ...

The Amarrian paternalistic arrogation of authority has failed to provide a solution. Their claimed æstewardshipÆ over ævisible creation' - in other words, the Amarrian conciliar vision their so called æGaudium AmarrÆ - began as genocidal imperialism, has atrophied into a decadent depravity demeaning us all.
The Caldari hydra are not better, these bureaucratic collectives will go to any lengths for profit. Efficient and deterministic the Caldari plutocracy is ultimately predictable, even while its decisions about the use of resources, about war, about methods of production are dispersed amongst the sprawling keptocractic Caldari state. Caldari accumulation consumes the nascent freedoms of emerging worlds, and civilisations, crushing them beneath the monolithic hegemony of the oligopolist state. The Caldari armament industries see human misery and war as the inevitable consequence of competitive production, as the 'natural' consequence, and the price paid for the innovation and rationalization of capital toward a Caldari monopoly. For all their pretence to another ideology the Amarr, desperate to stay solvent, undertake imperialist expansion for exactly the same reasons.
It is now that liberated capsuleers must come to freedom's banner to aid the Star Fraction as the benighted golem of the Caldari-Amarr project turns its attention, once again, to all free peoples who yet remain unfettered. The Fraction opposes the systematic coercion of imperialism, confronts the grinning deathÆs head of theocratic despotism, and subverts a colonialism propped up by exploitation, slavery and bonded labour respectively. ...

With every engagement the Star Fraction spreads wild hope, the nuclei of revolt within the Caldari and Amarr Empires against the details of Caldari-Amarr oppression. The system will be overthrown and mankind will be free. For dark eons past, for thousands of years, our revolution has either hidden in plain sight or been brutally repressed. We have been lied to by those who would possess our inheritance: our Transhumanist history, and so control the future. This we mustnÆt allow. We, are the lucky few, not only to have reached escape velocity - leaving behind that ancient gravity well, that all pervasive orthogenesis - but we are also those who embrace the coming saltation and would have it as a common treasury for all.
The only limitation Fractioneers will accept to personal sovereignty is self imposed; imposed by the need to be free, and for the love of freedom. All action is limited by rationality, to be efficient to its purpose, maximising productivity with the minimum of wasted effort or expense, and the Fractioneers are certainly not without purpose: the protection of their freedoms, the freedom to go where they will, and to engage in exchanges of all kinds with whomever they wish.
For The Star Fraction, NRDS is an expression of its commitment to free space, to a profound respect for mutual external relationships between beings, acting as the Archimedean point outside of any political objective, conditioning the Fraction's dealings with everyone. In its strong form it is the free-space doctrine. However it is simply prudent, and while Fractioneers wouldn't advance ethics as an argument in defence of ideology it is nonetheless the foundation of the deontological explanation of Justice.
A critic may object that this is mere dogma insisting that such liberties are a product of the political objectives of the Fraction which they may argue are contingent and arbitrary and therefore no more valid than the objectives they seek to realise. However, if we can agree that the principle of reciprocal or mutual freedom are grounded in equity or fairness then we might also agree that when we speak of freedom we are also speaking of justice.
"We [the Star Fraction], for our part, are motivated, to quote an ancient revolutionary, ô... by great feelings of loveö for freedom, for our fellows, for life."
Here, I believe, lies not only an explanation of the policies of The Fraction, but also its brilliance.
